Well I would like to think I'm actually that smart but in reality my plan was to buy a Maverick to work out of and a Bronco for a toy. Got tired of waiting and purchased the Tacoma. I've had two Bronco's on order for over 2 years (base model and a mid-trim model) that are slated to be built as 2023 models. I'll sell both back to the dealer whenever they get built for about $10,000 each assuming the market stays like it is.

Yes it really was that simple. Literally signed the papers to purchase it then signed a dealer vehicle purchase agreement for $4,000 more than I "paid" for it. Could have gotten a couple of grand more had I wanted to sell it outside the dealership but it was just too easy. I'm not greedy. I made money and they will make money.

I actually just started looking at those; was a little intimidated by swapping it out. Are they plug and play or do you have to mess with the headliner?

It’s about to begin! I finally got some free time, and enough of it to install my lift :D Bilstein 5100’s all around, Dobinsons 2.75” coils, freedom UCA’s, differential drop kit, OME Dakar HD springs, longer U-bolts, carrier bearing drop kit, and there’s a ECGS bushing currently in the mail that should be here any minute now

Put a deposit down on my wifes new rav4 XLE premium and while there they had this beauty in the showroom across from a green tacoma pro. They wanted $94k for it and I would sell my house for it.

What? Isn’t a new 4Runner more expensive than a taco?

What suspension are you running? Did you aal for the rear with the increased weight? Is it enough weight to worry about? Thanks.

check out my post over here-

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fear-of-the-sag.779572/page-3

essentially I have the TRD performance lift with the rear spacer.

but with the RTT the truck drives like an overweight, drunk pelican, trying to source the white smartie he was told about.

I will say that the RSi Smartcap I added made the suspension settle right in.
All of the other gear make it seem like 1978 Econoline Ambulance dying to get to nowhere, never.

I've done plenty of this and that over the 2.5 months of owning my truck, but the most important thing to me with any new vehicle after taking delivery is the break-in oil/filter change. I knocked that out today with 808 miles on the odometer. I'm sure most will be following manufacturer suggested break in and maintenance intervals, but this is just something I've always done. I also don't baby the break in either. Time now to stretch the truck's legs a bit and make some memories!
