They can be a tripping hazard. A liability. Just saying. :notsure:

I always liked the stick-on window solution better than the in-channel ones. That being said, i drive with the windows down any chance i get, so I don't want to push air away.

I wish I had em with my Kia stinger. But the way the car was designed it would look like shit. Plain an simple. It did have the bug deflection. But the windows were a different story.

Installed a set on my taco. Like a carpenter running his hand on his finished work I got a razor thin cut on my fingers from the edge closest to the truck. Ouch!:censored:

The in-channel on my Toyotas are fine but the ones on my Ford always enable the crush feature at the top and roll back down.

Not the OP but I have a Classic which is a welded tube frame. Mine is probably one of the funny looking ones. They do look a little like an Erector set on the back of a truck without the modular boxes. I haven't saved enough to get the modular units yet. I researched a lot of bed racks and liked the fact that the rear bar can be moved easily. I use it primarily for carrying surfboards and kayaks. It is a great design and is well built. It was more expensive than the other bed racks available, but it was well worth the extra $, IMO.

Installed my Blaze10's from SCS. Along with some Apex 3.0 quick bleed valves. (37 to 15 psi in about 3 seconds on some 33's, with real time psi reading and no tools)

    I love this setup.

Yea I get the idea. Was at Cades Cove a couple of years ago but never saw that road plus we didn't take the Tacoma so we wouldn't have gone that way without it. Definitely will do that next time. Just looked at google maps and see the road you're talking about. Also was at Deals Gap (Dragons Tail) with my Nephew a few years a go when we went on a 3 day motorcycle ride so kinda familiar with that area. Appreciate the info.

Check out this harness from FBC Harness Solutions, https://fbchs.square.site/. It disables the plate lights when in reverse so the bright lights don't wash out the camera. Just over $80, plug and play. Well made product.

Agreed. After actually driving with it today, its just in the way. Already took it off. Seemed like a good idea at the time with a few Spotted Cows in me....LOL.

Dura-Dressing tire shine coating applied, finally after buying it months ago hahaha. Also removed my CBI Rack/iKamper Mini 3.0. Getting her ready for GFC install in 3 weeks! =) Now if my darn supercharger can come (its been 4+ months) before that so I can kill time, that would be nice.

I think I'm just gonna try putting a little tape over the lights first, because I do like that they illuminate the area behind me in reverse more than the taillights. If that doesn't work or help though I might check out that harness, I just don't wanna pull the trigger on an $80 harness for $15 lights until I see if I can do something easier first. Thank you regardless, didn't even know there was a way to do that.
