Removed my skid plate to gain access to the front diff to do fluid changes yesterday and am admiring the scars it’s endured. Been a good couple summers so far

Had a lot of stuff done to the truck since May and I haven't been active but I'll be posting all the upgrades since.

9 Year Ceramic Coat done while I was away on a trip, re-installed the roof rack, got ceramic tint all the way around, finally installed the Baja Designs XL Linkable Light Bar (also ceramic coated), and got the KDMax Pro+XT tune done by Chris.

Went fishing with some friends one weekend
had a bbq get together / night beach run with another group of friends another weekend,
then swapped out the 650lb/in springs to 700lb/in springs, installed the new spindle gussets, and stoptech 6 piston big brake kit with a buddy. Also some trimming on the fenders

    September

Did some maintenance, painted the rear drum brakes, installed the redline tuning max lift hood struts that have been sitting in my garage for over 8 months, cascadia4x4 flipster license plate mount and went wheeling with some friends at Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls, TX, and post trip cleaning.

    Post trail damages:

Slid into a tree on the passenger front fender and passenger rear bedside, luckily only scratches. Scratches on the skids, bumpers and rock sliders that I painted over.

This is what I’ve done with mine couple of years ago…upgraded the Stage 1 with 4 v6 red extremes Tritons and extreme switchbacks with bulb adapters. But I must have gotten a couple of bad red extremes so they warranty them. I got a refund credit and got regular 7443 Reds. I think they’re more reliable than the V6 red extremes. Then the extreme Amber switchbacks started flickering on reverse and got that replaced on warranty too. But all is well now. The extreme switchbacks are amazing!

Well installed the VLED tail light conversion, super happy with the results, a quick easy plug and play installation, their product is always well packaged. I will try and post up pictures tonight when it's dark

Just bought some gear for the 23. Took advantage of www.extremeterrain.com and their Black Friday sale and coupons.

Guys, I heard and felt a shudder while I was on an inclined on-ramp today, it was pretty much everywhere as if I was driving on a washboard. Pretty certain I need a shim between my leaf spring and rear axle. Does anyone have advice, and a picture of a shim installed on your rig, and what are recommendations for a part-number and where to buy such a shim? tia.

Edit. Found a shim on Amazon, 2 degree, I can easily see how they are installed. For those here on TW, what degree shims do you guys have installed, and for what lift height do you have in your rear? tia

I bought through @HeadStrong Off-Road. They have multiple angle shims to choose from, depending on your lift height.

To make it easier, remove your shock for better access. You’ll need to also remove the two bolts from the rear leaf spring and shackle to make the rear end free. The leaf spring should now have enough play for you to lift up and slide the shim under the springs.

I like Headstrong's shims, they are stronger than aluminum and have a slot compared to a hole in them for easier installation. I shot them an email requesting their recommendation. ~thanks.
