I used plenty. Still got air bubbles and this was my second attempt. Just not meant to be.

Sadly, because once he sees it, there will be no stopping him from getting to it.

A lot of the bubbles will work out themselves over time. Park it in the sun. I replaced my decal with a matte black one and on each side, the larger letters had a bubble in them. 2 days later gone.

I agree, but it also takes a lot of time to develop a deep friendship. Soapy water and I still need more time to develop our relationship.
In other words, I believe those who are good at decals/PPF/tint are truly skilled. The PPF on my headlights are an example of my lack of skill. My flag decal looks great but it took an hour to get it right.

    you likely will lol
    Looks great with these!

I’m doing the lift with the bilstein 6112 coil combo front and 5160 gen2 for the rear. IMO, it is the best lift and suspension upgrade for the money. I’m also adding a 2” block to keep the OE rake. I don’t like the level look.

I have to give a shout out to @memario1214 for his knowledge and service in helping me with my suspension needs.

I have a crap ton of mods to install that I’m hoping to get done in the next couple of weeks.

Are these the mcneil fenders? If so and you decide you want to go with a aftermarket front bumper, I have the correct fiberglass bumper caps to allow a aftermarket front bumper. You just have to trade me the ones you have (I dont want a aftermarket front bumper and need your caps)

These are actually fiberwerx 3" fender. I already ordered a warfab front bumper so no more stock for me. If the McNeil bumper caps work with fiberwerx I'll be down to trade.

I am interested in how well it connects to carplay, did you do the install? and what else did you need to put it in?

Also, do your steering wheel volume and station buttons work with the new head unit?

yes I did the installation myself, it was moderate difficulty but if you’ve ever worked on car stereos before it’s very DIY-able.

I used crutchfield.com to determine install components and in addition to the stereo I needed:
    Stereo wire butt splices
    i-datalink maestro
    I-datalink Toyota specific harness
    Antennae wire adapter
    Toyota OEM usb retention harness
    Metra dash kit

the wireless CarPlay works amazingly well. Paired the bluetooth the first time and the phone asked me if I wanted to use wireless CarPlay with the stereo. After that it auto connects in about 6 seconds from stereo on. All the features and operations of CarPlay wired, just wireless.

the idatalink and harness connect up to deliver all the information and settings that the OEM radio has to the Kenwood unit. The idatalink module also handles the steering wheel controls, including the ability to reprogram any if you like. (I made the up and down on the wheel do volume and left right arrow are seek+/seek-, which I vastly prefer.
