    Wheels and tires today!:woot:
Method 701’s Matte Black w/ Wildpeak AT3’s 265/75 R16’s. Best part… they don’t seem to have any rub, but I didn’t take them anywhere to stuff them yet. It was getting late and I wanted to get a few pics before it got dark. No lift, but they fill out the wheel wells better, and make the debadging look even better IMO.

My tire carrier is the bed of the truck. With a ratchet tie down. Underneath is bare so I can keep an eye on it.

I went all in and took off the TRD OR sticker in addition to the chrome. I always wanted to do the same to my ‘02, but she was a 13 year old truck when I got her. Paint/sun fade concern’s.

What does the white noise in reverse accomplish?

I believe it’s a sound to alert pedestrians a truck is backing up. I never heard it described as white noise. More like a beep beep alert.

Today I installed Baja Designs S2 LEDs in my Brute Force Fab rear bumper.

I was surprised at the flimsy connection:
    upload_2022-12-10_17-40-22.jpg

But that was easy to reinforce with wire loom tape:
    upload_2022-12-10_17-41-17.jpg

The wire harness took a little time. 12AWG is all I had on hand and overkill. Spit conduit with wire loom & wrapped in wire harness tape.
    upload_2022-12-10_17-43-17.jpg

I had already ran a wire from the cab to the bed for a relay and also connected to switches I installed in the bed. So I can turn on from the cab or the bed.

One more item to check off the list.

I like ditching the connector altogether and switching it to a Deutsch connector.

It is nice going with the Deutsch connector but it voids the warranty with Baja when you remove the plug

I don’t really see that spelled out in their warranty.

You don’t think they would be able to determine if the installation of the deutsch connector caused the failure of their product?

I should also note that I have some Baja Designs lights that were installed by a dealer that they modified with deutsch connectors too. It would seem these would be covered under warranty as the modification was done on their behalf by a dealer.

I wonder if a fart noise machine could be wired up for the same purpose?:anonymous:

I think Tesla used to have an external speaker that did something similar, but it was recalled.

I just answered my own question with the help of the ol’ googler, https://wolo-mfg.com/back-up-alarms/model-ba-197wn-heavy-duty-97-decibel.html

Yep, that’s exactly what it is. I’ve heard these on equipment in the field at work. I always thought it was a compressor blowoff or something like that. :notsure: Pretty neat, and so much nicer than the traditional audible backup alarm.

By “recalled”, I think you mean they did a software update that disabled it unless you are in Park.

I figured the bright red would get annoying so it's easier just to get green letters now before I put it on. I might bring it to work with me and anodize the plate a charcoal black color. We'll see if they let me do that!
