Bit the bullet... $478 for new glove box assembly and new trim next to it. That's AFTER my discount at my Dealership. Ugh... But, I know my OCD will sleep better at night.

I'm wondering HOW to swap out the glove box locks so I don't need a second key now. I cannot find anything online about how to do it.

Installed a few items from Black Friday. $312 delivered seemed a decent price for the performance intake (I know there is little performance gain). I would have loved the MESO taillights, but even the sale price was too high, however hard to pass up the Spyder taillight for $120. They seem plenty bright. The taillight looks like it should have from the Toyota. The brake/turn uses all the LEDs in the center. 2 LEDs for the side marker, and the reverse is as bright as the aftermarket LED bulbs I had previously installed. Fit and finish is acceptable, not as good as OEM, but decent enough to have on my truck. No hyper flashing or problems I've noticed. Only wish they didn't have chrome around the reverse light, but I do like the factory style look.

Not necessarily saying dummy in a bad way lol my biggest thing is I overthink every mod and make it 10x as difficult in the beginning as it should be. This truly was the easiest thing I’ve done so far though

I was going to try the "interior repair guy" that visits my shop, but this job would probably be somewhere over $200. Ant it just never looks "perfect"... color is off or the blending isn't perfect, or there may be visible marks left that simply don't go away. So, I'll always look at it and get pissed. So, new parts!

One down side to these trucks. They scale at almost half the weight of a RAM. :(

I really want to see pictures of the backpack damage that costs $200 to repair and is so bad you justified $500 for a replacement glovebox…
To each their own obviously, but it’s a $40k truck not a $200k supercar. If it’s a daily driver; shit is gonna happen

    Oh, those look nice!
Since I bought my RCI's on sale and I don't have to pay shipping (they are close-ish to me and I'll pick them up), maybe I should just pay them to put them on for me. Especially since I'll be rehabbing my shoulder when they are ready.

Well, it’s my super car. I work hard for what I have, take pride in my things. Raised with nothing to my name. So for me, this truck is a culmination of many things for me- post divorce, getting ahead. To me, I’d rather have the truck to my personal standards than slap some new wheels and tires on it. To me, a $40k car is a big deal. And it always seems like it’s other people doing dumb things to my stuff. Hell, if I use it to haul things and scratch up my bed- so be it. But when others take my hard work and hard earned gains and have no respect for them, then it ticks me off. So, I’ll do what makes me happiest and you do you.

Snagged mine on the Labor Day sale, Black Friday and no shipping is a killer deal!

the install process isn’t too tough, thankfully a good write up here under the title “another RCI slider install” made it fairly straightforward. However, the two front bolts on the driver side are a pain to get to. Think contortionist and if you don’t have very small forearms it’s a tight squeeze. I’ve had two shoulder surgeries in the past. Since your local and picking em up I’d pay to have them install them to avoid those two bolts and an aggravated shoulder post op

Accidents happen. You can have pride in the things you’ve worked hard for while also a having reasonable standard for the appearance of plastic.
I respect where you’re coming from, and your choice to do what makes you happy. If a scratch would have ruined the vehicle for me, I would have paid to fix it as well. Everyone’s priorities are different and I get that.

never thrust the video or the webpage of the person selling you something. they can move many sliders on a tune and still say you get up to 50% hp gain. that said. they probably have longer duration discharge to burn all the fuel possible. and this would work like if you put some new sparkplugs.

Good for you man! My tacoma is pretty special, just like the meme, my exe would say,"you love that truck more than me". I'm in for the long haul, love my Tacoma. Thinking about sliders, mostly to protect from door dings. I get it. Good luck!
