How long to replace the stock Tacoma lights and install these?

 

I ordered via the website and got the wrong size. I called them and they sent a replacement, which was a perfect fit on my 2017 Tacoma.

 

Not sure I've ever seen a single cab 3rd gen. In fact I didn't think it was made anymore. Nice!

Great answer, I love it! Yes I get the hands on thing, I am the same due to working as a carpenter (framing and high rises) and commercial fisherman. About 50 years of repairing and maintaining my vehicles as well.

Looks like you have done a lot of justifiable upgrades for your usage. All good.

I am glad I have never had an upgrade bug when it comes to my vehicles. I just don't have the funds even if I had the desire.

Even winning the lottery would not change me. I am taking applications. If I win the 50 million, keeping 5 mil and give the other 45 mil away. I would hate to have that much, then I'd be forced to put new countertops in the kitchen. Maybe put a better seat in my 10ft rowboat.

 

It's a relatively simple swap out. Some folk peel back the inner fender liner to access the fog lights; however, you can swap them going through the engine compartment in between the front bumper and radiator. Although if you have bear-sized hands, this would be difficult. It should take less than an hour.

 

Fits a Strikelight nicely too!

 

I use a similar work platform to help me reach the roof when washing my truck. Those things are great.

 

Didn't know this was a thing until I saw this post. Looked earlier and the price was $149.99, put them in my cart, procrastinated and they went up to $155.99 again so I bought them. Don't really need new tires but that's a heck of a deal.

 

Once you put the brackets on the lights and get the connector they send ready, should be 20-30 minutes? it’s super easy. I went through the fender liner, took out 3-4 bolts and a trim clip. The fog lights are held on with 1 screw and two tabs. You can see the screw holding the factory fog in on the right side in the second pic. The two tabs are on the opposite side. Once you remove the screw you can pull the fog toward you (after unplugging) and it just comes right out. Hope this helps, but if a dummy like me can do it anyone can

 

Did the attachment mounts come with it as well? If so I’m about to order

 

I might be way off but I think it might be a second gen with all the body panels off a 3rd gen

Did the full flush and fill on the Power Steering Fluid at 61K. OEM fluid was nasty brown and after completing the process I realized how much easier the truck steering wheel now turns. Then decided to install new Halogen Low Beam lights - did the H9 bulbs (which require the easy removal of the H11 adaptor plug) - gosh I can see the road again! Next up the transmission pan drop and filter replacement followed by tire rotation and oil change. Need to wash the truck too! Happy Holidays!

Installed the Truxedo Lo-Pro tonneau I "stole" from Amazon for $125 on Black Friday. It took a while to get here and the box it came in looked kinda rough so I was a little nervous but it was definitely never installed (all the hardware was there and in its original sealed bags).
