Weight is a big plus for me-- I found old school Japanese 4x4 wheels that weighed only 16lbs and were amazing for my 2nd gen before I upgraded to 3rd gen. And nice! yea I was able to grad the pro exhaust for about $500 here which was still a steal for me haha.

This really depends on what you're doing. Mid travel and you don't get crazy in the rocks, stock is fine. Mid travel and you do get crazy in the rocks then it's a good idea with a couple caveats, RCVs are expensive, you will have to upgrade other components as they are strong enough to break other tuff, and did I mention they are expensive. If you're going long travel, just upgrade everything from the start and be done with it.

Really everything depends on what you plan to wheel. Build your truck to suit your needs. Tons of great info here and overall helpful folks with couple douche bags mixed in here and there.

I have a first gen with Blizzaks and it goes great in the snow. And stops quicker because of its light weight.

 

Added a bike mount to the 3rd rail and also a bed step.

Brought her home yesterday and started the mods. So far all I’ve done is put all weather floor mats in and a center console tray. Today it’s a bed mat, Lomax tonneau cover, dash cam, door sill guards, and Screen Protech. Busy day but I’ve been looking forward to this for months!

Found these white silicone rubber bands on a couple usb cables i bought few months back. Been looking at them a while, decided to install on volume/tuner control knobs. OMG!! This is how a knob should come from factory. I was going to say, this is how a knob should feel. But it didn't sound like good English.

Btw, found similar on Amazon, in black, in 10mm x 12mm, x .2inch. Pretty sure same size as these white ones I'm using here.
