There was some downtime at work, so I did the AC drain mod.

I always liked this solution. I actually saw this on a dented truck bed today.

Seems like an extreme measure to take to avoid pinstripes offroad, but it certainly seems effective.

Yeah. I have a 20 so it was all plug and play. I take it you didn't get the interior switch? If not how do the lights work? Just come on when the door is opened?

Anyone who has or is interested in getting an Uptop Overland bravo roof rack (can’t speak to the alpha rack but it’s likely the same), the rack sits pretty high off the roof with the provided spacers. It’s the only thing I didn’t like about it.
I replaced only the front spacers which were 1.25” with 1” and it sits just fine with plenty of roof clearance. And no dreaded wind whistle.
It sits barely but noticeably lower to the front of the roof with just that .25” lower profile and does not look tilted at all from the sides.
Its sits level. However much it’s off from what Uptop Overland intended is not noticeable to the eye from the sides.

So yeah I did that and replaced the CV axles. Had a ripped boot and figured 88k miles was enough to just knock them both out (for an excuse to work on my truck).
Drivers side really fought me. Sway bar bolt was stuck as hell. Impact wouldn’t cut it. Chewed up the boot removing it. Then the diff did not want to let go of the old axle. They have had such good times together.
Drivers side took almost 2 hours.
Passenger side less than an hour.
Replaced with axles from extreme terrain.
They’ve got notches similar to OEM for removal without using a slide hammer.
Solid, seemingly well built axles very similar to OEM.
Hopefully they hold up proper. Time will tell.

Now I get to install new sway bar links.

Thanks for the info on the spacers! One of my friends has the el cheapo Hooke setup, and it whistles terribly

Am I supposed to look at my axles that early? Just did my 4Runner's (well not me, I don't have the tools) at 240k. Really just trying to understand what to take care of and what to watch out for.

I had trouble with the third crossbar (third from the front of the cab, second from the back of the cab) touching the roof. How is your sitting? I end up just removing mine.
