What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Noticed Sunday night I had a busted outer Cv boot and was flinging grease everywhere.

OEM Axles are on backorder I was told anywhere from 4-12 weeks from 3 dealers locally. Wanted to snag OEM to swap out and then also have a spare for the trail but instead ended up getting a sNAPA axle to get me back on the road and picked up the boot kit from the dealer. Waiting on the clamp pliers to show up before rebuilding the stock axle and swapping it back in.

Zip tie in picture was only there to contain grease while removing the axle.

Probably for the best. My front camera stopped working 3 months ago and after extensive diagnosis I have found the front camera to be defective. R4T tried getting them to contact them and even direct messaging from me yields no customer support whatsoever. At this point I wish I never installed it on mine. Of all the mods I have done this is the worst. One of the female RCA's in the harness was full of plastic from whomever manufactured the harness. This is the only mod I would take back and never have done.

Had a pretty rough start of the year (to say the least), so I decided to treat myself to something I've wanted for at least 5 years now. Picked up this '23 TRD Off Road 4x4 on February 19th.

I've already installed the Miller cat shield, the Rough Country seat covers, changed the TRD decals to matte black, ordered the white bumper caps, and on Saturday I'm getting Method 305s, KO2 285/70/17s put on, as well as Bilstein 6112s/5160s. I'll post pictures when it's installed!

I’ve been on a maintenance terror lately in my truck. Since last week I’ve changed my
PCV Valve
Cleaned mass air flow sensor
Cleaned TRD air filter
Replaced cabin filter
Changed oil and filter
Changed front and rear differential fluids
Changed transfer case fluid
Changed serpentine belt
Drained and flushed coolant in radiator and engine
Drained and flushed power steering fluid 8 times til I was happy
week before last-
Installed trd pro skid and rci skid with cat shields

 

What's your mileage?

 

I have mine mounted on the mesh and it works just fine.

 

The day has finally come. 255/85/17 Mickey Thompson baja boss mounted today. No issues whatsoever. Will be posting my old tires with some life in the in the SoCal area. My old spare has never been used. THESE SKINNYS ARE USDA PRIME BEEF!
