Depends on the temperature of where you live, how often you drive, and how far you drive.

Hot climates kills batteries quicker, not starting the truck for long periods of time the battery will drain, and short trips don't give the alternator enough time to charge it back up.

Might want to invest in a battery tender to keep the battery topped off.

Doesn't match truck color but I shouldn't misplace it either.

Yeah that could be it, I may have to look into one of those Battery tenders. I used to drive alot more, but since i started WFH my poor truck has just been sitting. except for weekends.

I use one of these for my Miata.
I drive it maybe 200 miles a year and am on year 5 with the battery.

Any issues with the Retrax leaking at the front of the bed? I went with the Pace Edwards and think I should have gone with the Retrax... Where'd you purchase yours from? Looks good!

1/2" rubber washers on the bed bolts. Interesting.

How do you plan on cleaning the bed of sand/dirt/leaves that work their way under the mat and keeping the drain holes open?

Installed the N2 Designs keyless entry/remote start kit. All plug play, pretty easy to install. I think the hardest part was the removal of the plastic part below the steering wheel... being I have the standard key, I really love having a remote to lock & unlock it now..

My 2020 (received Aug 20) has slightly over 7K. That's about 235 miles/month. Battery just fine. Not a lot of trips, but most 30+ mins.

It does not. I have seen adapters for that but it is wired.

I bolted it down for several reasons, actually. I'm not saying they were all 100% thought out though. But I'm going to run with it for a while.
    1) When I go to move something, say furniture size stuff, I don't want it to roll up too much as we first get the item in the bed.
    2) I don't want it growing legs.
    3) the drain holes are covered whether it's bolted or not. I looked at that right off and was disappointed. Almost cut the corners, but decided to wait.
    4) I don't plan hauling a lot of dirt that isn't contained in a bag. Period unbolt/clean under/re-bolt. Wasn't all that worried, since there doesn't seem to be any metal under there anyways.

You should probably check under your truck to make sure the bolts are fully engaged with the nuts that are welded to the frame.
It would be pretty ironic if in the attempt to keep your mat from "growing legs" you lose your whole truck bed going over a speed bump lol.

At this point I don’t think you can justify it. If it had some metal grommets you might be able to get away with it.

These were a nightmare on my 2004! Took a couple hours, an air hammer and several Diablo hacksaw blades to remove. Not fun

Well, not a new addition to my 2020 Tacoma, I replaced it with a 2023 SR 4X4 new truck. Now to start the fun of adding new upgrades to the new truck. My old truck was Silver. This one is MGM. Well, this is what I did to my 3rd gen today. I love that new truck smell!!!!!

I was surprised how much rust was on that one sleeve. I can only imagine how it would have been if they were all rusted and seized.
