What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Having trouble uploading photos. The light bar was a Putco Part number 92009-48. 92009-48 - Putco 48" Blade Red, White & Amber LED Tailgate Light Bar

 

everything else would a down grade......get it?

 

Cheap LED strips running $20 $30 compared to this it's 10 times the price but boy do they look nice!

I have had mine since new(2017) installed at the dealer. Still in great shape.

 

I wonder if some rubber washers from HD or Lowes would solve that?

 

The shield on the driver side touches the cat. There’s a thread about it. I’ll see if I can troubleshoot it tomorrow.

 

I got a text this morning that my 2023 TRD Lunar Rock had arrived. I drove down this afternoon, but decided to pass on it when they lowballed me 27k for 2017 with 18k miles.

The paint on the front bumper was crumby matte/non glossy, but the panel gaps seemed good.

The only option I really wanted that mine doesn't have is the recessed oem bed lights. There's many aftermarket options available for that. I was also disappointed to see what Toyota has deleted as standard equipment from these trucks over the past few years. (seat pull tabs, bed storage cubby, nav, ect)

If anyone else is interested in a base TRD with LED's it's at Bell Road Toyota.

I like the thought behind the extended hitch. However, be aware that bumpers are designed to absorb impact, crumple and limit damage and injuries. An extension like that is attached directly to the frame. Impact energy will be immediately transmitted to the frame leading to more immediate possibilities of greater and more costly damage (bent frame) and more substantial impact to the vehicle occupants. While it will impart more damage to the person who rear ends you, the trade off may not be worth it?

 

Okay, need to know more. Is that a kit or did you fab the lights yourself? Very cool

 

Installed the dd c1r hitchpod. Loving it so far. If anyone wants a body armor hitch skid, i have that for sale. $80 plus shipping

Try readjusting the shields or loosen the bolts if you torqued them down pretty good. Installed mine with no issues at all.

 

My cat doesn't rattle... She goes meow. Lol
