Installed REDARC Tow-Pro Elite brake controller on my '22 Tacoma. Even though I'm not usually the best on working on vehicles, the install is pretty straightforward following the YouTube video posted by REDARC. The switch replaced one of the blanks perfectly. Mounting the bracket with the module is a bit tight and will sit at an angle, but it looks secure to me.

I did have to go back and reorganize the wiring (the fat bundle to the white plug that will connect to the trailer brake controller plug provided on the truck) as the first time I had it, it interferes with me depressing the clutch pedal. Then I looped it around and it's all good.

 

Installed the 400W Anytime mod along with an outlet behind the center console and the 2WD Low Range mod. Not happy that the switch doesn’t dim and stays lit whenever the truck is on. Guess I’ll have to tap into the illumination circuit for the under HVAC controls to get that going. Also decided I don’t want to run my ARB dual off the SPOD so I’ll be wiring that to the left of steering wheel area with a custom switch. Also going to add the switch for the Weboost there along with the MESO puddle switch kit if I can ever get my hands on it. Going to install the Weboost and MESO puddle lights this weekend.

 

For the 2 low… I think the wire you need is the ground to another ground in your dash/interior lights. It drives me nuts too, but I’ve got the switch on the overhead panel and it’s kind of out of the way.

 

Hello, Good Morning, Has anyone ever had issues with the steering wheel radio controls stop working, mine are spiuratic lately i have noticed and stop working and i need to shut off the truck to get the radio to reset as even the radio itself wont shut off on the dash and the touch screen stops working too.

 

so it adheres in place with double sided tape? wonder how that will hold up when the interior of the vehicle heats up in the summer, if the glue releases.

That seems like a software issue with the head unit. Investigate getting it updated from the dealer under warranty.

I've changed my grill twice (20' Off road and now PRO grill) because the orig grill looks out of place in my truck. I also had the black SR5 grill trim. But, yours looks great! Does not look out place with this color. I even like the two toned shell. Truck looks good!

 

Try to reboot your truck...Take the battery terminals off for a bit...

Installed the Rek Gen mud flaps, added some DD SS3 pro fogs, swapped in the TRD PRO grill, and the front license plate bracket (Thanks NJ). Busy, busy, busy.

 

Finally put in the Fogs- clearly a severe upgrade!
