60K service plus full trailer bearing replace and service.




Got the rear diff back on schedule. Question, even though its only been 10k since the last diff change, it still smelled like fucking death. Is that just me? Is that normal??? Does the diff fluid smell cooked every change?

 

How did it go? I had to grind mine down a bit on both sides to get them to fit properly.

 

Did you inspect the diff fluid before going to the dealer?

 

This truck hasn't seen the dealer since it's 25k.

Also, it's Sunday and ol' Rock Lobster is four very Hard drinks deep so far. Subtlety is for weekdays.

 

sounds like a central Florida meet up. Mine is stock and REALLY thinking about a tune. Can run tunes on just regular fuel right or does it automatically bump you up to super?

Installed a mic extension for my Icom ham radio. Bough a 10’ (could have gone with the 6’) Cat 6 RJ25 Ethernet cable from Amazon (search the following ASIN: B07VJX17ZJ) . The female end had to be filed just a little bit for it to fit in the USB port on my Expedition Essentials accessory mount. Used a file and after like 15 secs of filing, tested for fit and once it fit nice and snug, done. And since I never used the USB plugs in there, I figured this was more useful. Ran the male end behind the radio and under the center console and under the driver’s mat. From there I ran it under the seat where the main unit is. Mounted the Icom mic holder onto the accessory mount and done. Still not a fan of the Icom mics and their mic holder but oh well.

 

Going a bit taller. Will be deleting front mudflaps.

 

i got this one. My wife drives a 22 Bronco Sport and wanted one. I did some research and it worked for hers so when i ordered one for her I tried it out and worked fine so I ordered a second. Got some Velcro and secured it under. Takes an extra like 5 seconds to connect but worth it I feel.

 

Perfect... just what I was looking for.

Can you still use the Tacoma's stereo's touchscreen for music (Pandora, iTunes, etc.) Maps and such or do you have to use the phone's screen?

EDIT: One of the demo videos shows that you can use the stereo's touch screen just as if it were connected with USB.
