Just installed some latch covers to my new Alu-Cab Contour this afternoon. Waiting on the correct rear hatch struts to get drop shipped to me so that the hatch opens more than 90 degrees. It shipped with the wrong struts that are short and put the hatch at head bashing height.

Still need to pick an AT tire and size and throw my lift on. Then I should be good for a while.

Ah, that's the plan. Time to bug them. :) Well, I guess that would put me at about a week and a half from delivery. Not bad.

I finally got around to wiring my chargers. However, I found that the AM1 empty fuse slot is always on. So I tapped into the 7.5a USB fuse.

    Parts:
    Apple magsafe chargers

12v to 5v dual USB - YIPIN HEXHA DC Converter 12V 24V to 5V 3A 15W Dual USB Female DC DC Buck Converter Adapter Step Down Module https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B24MF21J

    USB C to A adapters - Basesailor USB to USB C Adapter 2 Pack,USB C Female to A Male Charger Type C Converter for Apple Watch Ultra iWatch 7 8 SE,iPhone 14 13 12 11 Plus Pro Max Mini,AirPods,iPad Air,Samsung Galaxy S23 S22 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079LYHNSR

wires were easy to run down. Connected to the converter, ground the black wire and fuse tap red wire to the USB fuse.

At some point I’m going to paint the bezel to match the silver paint and i will drill new holes to hide the wires better.

Interesting that it’s always on for you. When my phone is connected it doesn’t charge unless the truck is on. Looks good though. What mount do you have on the bezel? I went with the DMM and it works great. I’ve noticed lately a vibration from the bezel, I’m going to need to address it soon as the noise gets my OCD going a little.

    DMM from taco garage.
I removed the bezel today and noticed that the screws that hold the plate to the bezel had come loose. Tight enough not to rattle, but noticeably loose.
Tightened them back up and a little goop hot hot glue to keep ‘em in place.

Added gas struts to the cases that go on my roof rack. Decided to do a video on how to calculate what length and force you need. The calculator I used also tells you where you need to mount them on your case for the best results and custom angle you want the lid to open.

On Sunday I sadly tested out my Taco’s airbags and safety features thanks to a distracted Forerunner driver going the opposite direction. I lost my Taco but am thankful I could at least walk away and I could get to the Fire Rescue vehicle on my own. Still mad, still sad, but still alive  Praise God
