What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Did the “garage door opener mod”. I wired the garage remote to a 12v to 3v stepdown converter which i connected to a switched circuit so that the opener only works when the truck is on.


As the ultimate decoy/deterrent, the opener is not connected to the usual garage door pushswitch


The 2 squatch light switches were to see which one I liked better (the one on left with bigger image is from CH4x4, smaller image on right is from Air On Board). As fate would have it, I like the backlighting of the Air On Board switch since it is a very close match to OEM but prefer the larger image of the CH4x4, and swapping the faceplates is not as straightforward as I wouldve hoped. You mean the stuff I took off? Factory leaf springs and new Bilstein 5100 series rear shocks. I'll sell it all pretty cheap locally.

Had the ceramic touched up. Hard to believe she was on the trail a week ago.

 

The caliraised cat shields came in today. 4 1/2 week wait time but they are nice and beefy and super easy install.

 

Just wondering, but did you order direct or from somewhere else? I put in an order for some on 5/5 with Roof Top Overland and am still waiting - although they did say 3 - 4 weeks typical wait time.

Put my TRD skid plate on and got some rough country seat covers

 

I ordered them straight from the site on 4 /24 so just shy of 1month. I did send emails or that stupid chat thing they have to ask ever few weeks to see where they are at on the process just to let them know I’m waiting lol even messaged them on IG maybe they got sick of me

 

Got mine a few months ago but have had time to see if they will fit with my aftermarket trans sheild.

Just installed some latch covers to my new Alu-Cab Contour this afternoon. Waiting on the correct rear hatch struts to get drop shipped to me so that the hatch opens more than 90 degrees. It shipped with the wrong struts that are short and put the hatch at head bashing height.

Still need to pick an AT tire and size and throw my lift on. Then I should be good for a while.

 

Ah, that's the plan. Time to bug them. Well, I guess that would put me at about a week and a half from delivery. Not bad.

 

I finally got around to wiring my chargers. However, I found that the AM1 empty fuse slot is always on. So I tapped into the 7.5a USB fuse.

wires were easy to run down. Connected to the converter, ground the black wire and fuse tap red wire to the USB fuse.

At some point I’m going to paint the bezel to match the silver paint and i will drill new holes to hide the wires better.

 

Swapped out my s8 for a onx6 and swapped my rigid ditch lights for xl 80
