What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Oh man, I spent hours working on the truck today. Still doing basic QOL of stuff atm, but today i got installed:


Footwell light's,


Remote starter


Tailgate gap blocker thingy.

and I spent a bit of time fixing my toneau cover, and grinding the bolts shorter so they don't poke through.

Ordered a bunch of sound deadening to finish the truck up. Excited to see how it goes. Rear wall, floor and roof still need done.

Debating how I can add a layer of MLV to the doors, open to idea's. Nopt sure how I'd secure it.

 

i added sound deadening to my doors, back wall and tailgate. The doors were pretty easy, just tight working space.
I took off the battery cables, didn't want the lights on the entire time.

 

I did the doors with Butyl rubber and Closed cell foam. (Noico 300mil) so far I am VERY impressed with the results. Not sure how I could get a layer of MLV (1lb or 2lb) to stick up in there for years without falling down though. Debating whether I want to start using rivnuts on the braces to attach it, or if I should just leave good enough alone. Any idea's?

 

Finally got around to installing my Switch-Pros 9100. Tight fit in a MT Tacoma but eventually got it to fit ok.

 

Maybe its time to get better friends LOL j/k

Changed the old oil yesterday for my 5k interval at 50k. Now to drop off the old at local auto parts shop.

Yep but on a lifted truck it help mpg a fair amount.
The valance blocks much of the wind that would of been hitting the face of the tire. And lifted trucks have much more tire exposed to the airstream.

 

Gettin ready to leave to the hills and gona put 150k today. Got the 20 taco back in 2019 Oct, when the 20s just started arriving in the lots and so was covid..lol..

 

Wow!!! Both of those trucks are clean.
