What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Well I wasn’t gone long. Sold my 2022 TRD off-road 4 dr long bed last week. I bought my 18 yr old son his first car with some of that money. I just put down a deposit on an allocation of a new 2023 Tacoma SR 2wd 4cyl access cab. I didn’t need the trd off road 4x4 4 door long bed. This is more my speed. So with the cost of my sons car ( 2007 Toyota Corolla S with 60000 org miles auto 4cyl and my new truck )was paid for by selling the 2022 TRD off-road. Two for one.

Thanks sir. I noticed this time drying it off, most of the hybrid ceramic coating seems to be about 85% gone. I thought this stuff should have lasted at least 1 year.

This weekend I decided to replace the spark plugs on my tacoma. I was really attracted to buy the iridium TT plugs instead of the the SIP(OEM). But a search on the forum stated that the car is finicky with the plugs, and after I saw the plug with 3 electrodes, I remember some Bosch plugs back in my days of part store employee, and we all though that they where a gimmick.

not gonna lie the worst part of the change was unplugging the damn coils they where stuck in them comes they’d did not wanted to get separated, luckily this is a 60k miles truck and all the hoses that are in the middle where soft and could be move around. I wouldn’t want to do anything like this in a high miles truck with stiff hoses.

for some reason my battery gave out it was the time I put a AGM on there, went with a superstart AGM can’t beat a 4 years warranty while being cheaper than most parts stores.

also decided to get some lucky Man Club seat cover. Easy to install they look wonderful, the seat bottom slides a bit maybe because of my weight but imma try to get something to make it stay put.
Guess I forgot to take pictures of the seat will do tomorrow.

DIY custom rattle can metallic Multicam for my emblem overlays. I have bronze wheels so these add a nice touch!

 

Clever way to mount. Haven’t seen that. Pretty cool.

 

Not today but Saturday morning I installed the Toyota OEM LED headlamps. SO. MUCH. BETTER!
