    Nice work.
    Yep, always fun to create!

It wouldn't have helped you to slide the cans from the front of the bed to the rear (I thought I once saw that was your expectation). But, had you left two of the straps (on ONE side, same side) longer, you could have bolted this holder to your bed rail (for security).
Just a suggestion of course. Something to maybe consider when you build a second one. lol

You still can add on extensions. I did it after-the-fact.

    Too much to list
Attempted to find a dispersed camping spot in a National forest yesterday but just ended up at a state campground, was supposed to be for the weekend but the campground sucked and 93deg weather with no shade or room to use my awning made my son tap out.

on the plus side, I worked out some kinks (trimmed the plastic in the wheel well) and found out my 1000w battery bank will stay at 1000% with my fridge, even after 18 hours.

Just like to say thanks again for the double check. I sent the pictures to the shop and they agreed it needs to be readjusted, and they will do it at no extra cost.

My plan is to strap the cans down through their handles to my bed platform. I have L tracks on the platform and just wanted a box to help support the cans. I have the front tabs on the box so I can run some rope through it to help pull it from the back of the bed.

I'm going on a trip later this June and will post some pics of my bed load out when everything is installed.

Proud to say that the truck I’ve borrowed for the past 33 months is now the truck I’ve bought! Was a dipstick with the fact that I put so many modifications on a lease at the time, despite the fact I knew I intended to buy it out. Lesson learned. No letting dealerships talk me into leases when I intend to buy. Lol

Hello awesome Tacoma people!!! My first post. Not certain if this is the best place to post my issue.

I have the dreaded rodent chewed the knock sensor harness issue. I have unplugged the harness from Knock sensors and main harness. The final step to remove harness is releasing it from its mounting location.

It appears to slide on the mount but but have no clue where to push to release the connector. I have ordered new harness but won’t arrive until tomorrow. Studying the new connector may provide a clue but was hoping to take old harness to match with new.

    Any tips most appreciated. TIA.

Is that one of those where you need to take the clamp off too? My reverse switch is like that on the transmission. Thought I could just reach in and pop it off. My mechanic had to pull apart my shifter column and loosen the transmission mounts to get to it. He ended up just taking the whole bracket off that it was attached to. Almost looked like it wasn't designed to be taken off.

Installed a 12v outlet in the bed for my fridge on road trips.
    Bought this kit: https://www.genesisoffroad.com/12v-power-outlet

It was about the same price as buying all the components individually and it was just the right length (barely.) I could have used an extra foot of wires to make it neatly tucked away in the engine bay. As you can see the wires are running right over the top of my fuse box but it's good enough for me.
I removed the cubby and bolted a bracket I made from aluminum to hold the outlet.

Since I stay in hotels/airbnb on road trips I figured my factory battery is good enough for running the fridge since I would bring it inside at night.

I saw them on Amazon, I think they were from CPW. A few sellers have them on eBay too, there are different choices of lens and lamp color. These are black with smoked lenses.

Tossed on the RCI's. I didn't have black paint, so I had to settle for blue.
