Vipih. Never heard of it before. Looks good to me, fit well. No issues with TSS. I didn’t install the raptor lights. Will probably sell them here.

Nothing particular in that regard, but a custom foam piece could easily be added between the cover to re-contour/extend the under thigh seat cushion.

Ty for sharing an opinion piece. And right now, the forum shows 80 users viewing this thread which I'd guess equates to an additional 80 opinions.
Probably all sorts of things we shouldn't be doing to our trucks, but I sure enjoy seeing all the creativity and passion that goes into them. Just be sure the family is sheltered, fed, and clothed first.
Oh, I don't have amber grill lights, but white ones. I guess I'm in big trouble now!

After all of my work to add lights inside and outside the bed of my truck, my wife pointed out that she couldn't see the tailgate itself or use it effectively as a table with just the LED lights inside the truck cap. She asked if a light strip could be placed on the truck cap hatch. I could have run more of the LED light strip that I did inside the truck cap but in looking at various products I thought it would useful to have a dimmable light and it might be fun to have a light strip with different colors.

So I found this product which, with some testing, I learned can be hard wired to a switch so I don't need to use the remote unless I want to:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BS8XP6YM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

I opted to install it on the inside lip of the truck cap opening rather than on the hatch itself.

    upload_2023-5-31_19-41-19.jpg

The fit was perfect on my ARE Z-Series truck cap. I almost wish I'd used this kit on the sides as well.
    upload_2023-5-31_19-42-3.jpg

It has dimming controls as well a color options and annoying flashing patters. All controlled by a IR controller conveniently mounted on the shelf near the back.
    upload_2023-5-31_19-42-45.jpg

It provides amble light on the tailgate even on the lowest setting.
    upload_2023-5-31_19-44-3.jpg

And the colors are fun to play with.

This is the same set up I’ve been using for a year now. Nothing rubs same mpg with the air damn and bed cover. Only thing you need to know is the rim is going to be tight on the hub. Was kinda of a pain to put the wheels back to the truck when I was replacing the brakes. Besides that they are great

It had the same vibe as "Why you shouldn't lift your Subaru" articles that got passed around the Subaru off roading community a few years back. We knew the car isn't meant for 3 inch lifts, knobby 28-29 inch tires and hitting up Moab, but it didn't stop people from trying and enjoying it.

And I like my raptor lights; hurt no one but my wallet.

I think it's a branding issue. If they were called "Amber Grill Lights" and not Raptor lights, I don't think this would be as big of a thing as it is. I personally think they look good on certain trucks and not as good on others...I think it depends on the build for me. When it comes down to it, who cares what others think as long as you love your truck! I hope people like my truck but, at the end of the day, I love it so I'm happy. Just for the record, I don't have lights on my grill.

People are too focused on "labels". (That's just my opinion)

I've never owned a "Ford" outright whether new or used and this is my first new truck.

I agree...go with what makes you happy in the appearance of your truck.

Beautiful! I had heard with all the extra water this year, it must've been a unique trip! Also, looks like someone may have been trying to sleep while you were changing the LED colors in your lights :)

Nice! I just got my kit and will be doing this to my truck in the next couple of days. Install looks pretty straight forward.
