Not much over the weekend other than my military veteran plates came in, so I put those on. Decided my rock lights install needed a few more bits to make everything work, so ordered a dual leg daisy chain harness from Cali raised, and a 3 relay bracket from them as well to help clean all the wiring up. Not sure how long that setup will last as I later plan to add a rear light bar rack but will be installing KC lights instead of the typical light bar. After that, no more lights.. I think.

I can not speak to the Kicker but I read some good reviews about the DS18 and got them. They were plug and play and very crisp and clean. Very good upgrade.

I finally took care of the last pieces of chrome trim that wasn't blacked out - the radio buttons. I have a cheap vinyl cutter at home so I made some quick masks for the front of the buttons so I could paint just the chrome/silver trim.

I grew up with one in the area... now replaced by a hotel. Parents would take us about once a year or so or sometimes we went with friends. It was nearby a shopping center and would sometimes show adult movies. Mom would always make us cover our eyes or crouch on the floor if we were driving past just in case something was not appropriate.

Sometimes we would be out doing nothing and stop by the drive in, sit in the animal rescue clinic parking lot and tune in the radio and catch random movie bits. But porn at the drive must’ve been wild.

Testing out a new hood vinyl wrap. The Topo lines are clear so it allows you to use your trucks paint color as the Topo lines. This is Marvin's at Beyond Wraps in Santa Ana Ca. original design. I was running his all Matte Black hood wrap prior. Got a sneak peak at this new product and persuaded Marvin to let me test the new product. It's printed on clear and laminated with clear matte lamination. Going to be doing the mirror caps and fender flares next week should really look great. I think the Army Green and Quicksand colored trucks would look great with this new color matching Topo lines. Added bonus with it being double laminated its makes the vinyl thicker for added protection.

For those wondering you can get the same exact textured/matte black color replacement bumper end caps for ~$50 on ebay instead of paying $150 or whatever for these bumper shellz. They look exactly the same.

I switched to picaridin bug repellent since it doesn't harm plastics and synthetic fabrics. I usually get the Sawyer brand - is comes in an aerosol can, pump bottle, or cream. I usually get the aerosol. It's also lighter feeling and isn't as sticky or smelly as most DEET products.

Ah, I see another manual enthusiast  What'd you do about the chrome around the cup holder? I was blinded by that bit one day headed to work. No one makes a chrome delete piece for a manual cup holder that I can find... Your chrome delete looks good!

My two cents, for what it’s worth, I did the OEM audio plus, consisting of amp, harness and woofer. I already did the speaker swap out with kickers. Very easy install, all plug and play ain’t sounds great. The harness comes already set for two sub woofers, but I just did the one. It was $1200. Again, my 2c.

I'm very happy with my upgrades.
Kicker tweeters and 6x9 w/ passive crossover
    Rockford Fosgate 6.5
    Kicker 10in sub
and the cherry on top .. the AudioControl D-5.1300 DSP/Amp
I can't even begin to tell you how much better it sounds with the right sounds going to the speakers.
I got the DSP off Ebay, and am pretty dang happy with the purchase.
I got taken for about a grand back in the early 2000's off Ebay, so I was VERY wary of this purchase.

If I were to do it all over again, only thing i'd change is ordering 14 or 16 gauge wire. Do you have any idea how hard it is to run 12 gauge wire through the door grommets? it's not fun.

Thanks for that! Headed to Minnesota soon, where the mosquito is the state bird. The aerosol version is over the TSA's allowance of 3.4oz., but it turns out they also sell it in a smaller pump spray version perfect for travel:

    Thanks again!
