PXL_20230806_174310456.jpgjust finished installing 5100s on all corners, set the front circlip at +1.1, and replaced the lower shock bolts with the Toyota 90105-14104 bolts to eliminate the clunk. I'll get the alignment done this week and be good to go

My issue is the consistent over tightening of drain plug and oil filter housing. I realize the folks typically doing the oil changes are not master techs, but they need to show theses guys what a torque wrench is! Every 5k and doing my own from now on.

I finally bit the bullet and upgraded the wheels, tires, and suspension on my 2019 Tacoma OR LB. Massive improvement over stock performance (which is already insanely capable) imho.

    UPGRADES:

    FOX Factory Series 2.5 w/dsc + Resi’s all around
    JBA Upper Control Arms
ICON Multi Rate WXT Leaf Spring Kit
    OEM TRD Pro 17” wheels
    Tires - Falken Wildpeak 275/70/r17’s

First pic is Stock/ 2nd Pic = Mods

It is a Long Bed Tacoma with a 6ft bed instead of a 5ft…

But I think you meant between the 2 pics right?

Easy roadtrip yesterday, Breckenridge, CO to Georgetown via Boreas, Kenosha, and Guanella Passes. Boreas is an old railroad converted to dirt road. This may be my go to route for when the Aspens turn yellow in the fall.

Today, I debadged including the softopper labels

    Beautiful route!
Go leaf peeping on a weekday. Boreas will be bumper-to-bumper in the fall on weekends. Or ride your bike, but then you have to deal w/ all the impatient drivers.
Or take Leavenworth Creek Rd off of Guanella pass; the rocky/bumpy part at the beginning filters out all the pax cars, but is an 'easy' off-highway drive. Not as many aspen as Boreas but much quieter.

Thanks for the tips. I've been going up to Kenosha for a few years now. Been meaning to head up during the week and grab a dispersed camping site below the Kenosha campground, maybe this will be the year.
