I read about similar cons on the facebook tacoma group pages . I opted for the rav4 BSM mirrors instead . I had them on the 4runner and they fit great with no vibrations

Will do.... Will need to go on a long(ish) ride instead of the 20Mins to work thing..... Hopefully my back will feel less fatigue... not that its all that terrible but I figure it's worth a shot to try them.

I'm 2 days in from 5100 install on stock springs all around, with front on 3rd circlip at +1.1”. I'm picking up a slight vibration when driving, everything I read indicated that vibration is normal at +2" or > of lift but didn't see anything on 1" lift. Is slight vibration normal for low lift?

What brand of vent shades did you use? How do you like them?

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
That's the metal tab that I think helps prevent mirror vibration. It slides as the mirror rotates, within a groove inside the mirror housing.

It's only on the driver-side mirror for some reason, and is completely absent from the spotter mirror. Without it, you might notice some mirror vibration at highway speeds.

This is the company's website. It's also available for a few retailers, but this was the best price I found. They have a version without BSM for $30 less, depending on whether you have/use that feature,

I thought about that, but I really prefer having the smaller mirror at the bottom instead of the top. Just my subjective preference.

The vibration isn't horrible. I've certainly had worse, but it is noticeable. I can live with it.

I think you will get more horsepower and torque because it’s a subdued flag and they run cooler :D

Yes some dealerships are not much to be desired. I had a new 2022 BMW M240i I bought new from Kuni BMW in Portland Oregon. I have no problem posting their name here to warn others. Especially after what happened and how they handled it afterwords with not even a call back from the service manager after 2 voicemails. Long story short took it in for its second oil change and the service tech took it for a 4 mile joy ride . I went to get in my car and he disconnected my front and rear dash cam the wires were hanging from the unit for obvious reasons. Also my car smelled like rubber and that smell when a car was driven hard and put away wet. To say I was upset is an understatement especially how it was handled afterwords when I brought it to there attention.

I just put a set of these on last month. I really like them so far!

I don't have BSM on my truck , so can't comment on that. I haven't experienced the vibration on the highway that you have...maybe I just haven't noticed it?

A thin trim on the edge of the mirror would be nice for sure.

Was hoping someone would see that. :D

Gotta be some sort of joke going on at the dump. It is a prime number…so??? Should ask the next time I am out there.

Never seen a prime number speed limit, ha and I've rolled through plenty of small towns. That's a lot of work for a joke though. I'd guess some engineer decided on that number for a good reason.

Same! ha! Those were the first mods when I got her. All those spots needed some better organization.
