With my wife's nephew's help we installed the Sokie Tech hood struts. My problem is I did not have any metric sockets. On the '22, the hood hinge bolts are 12mm. One possible tip for others, when installing the post in the engine compartment near the air filter on the passenger side, we opted to open the filter box, removed the filter, and QTY (3) 12mm bolts that held the lower part of the filter box in place. Taking that out made post installation a piece of cake.

I'll add that the hood bolts were not that tight, and an open-ended / adjustable wrench would have worked fine to remove them - a 12mm socket wasn't necessary. A 10mm deep socket to install the posts in the engine bay is not required either. YMMV.

I am from the PNW as well. Nice looking truck. I love the 16” pro rim with 285’s. Perfect stance imo.

Oil, filter, K&N air filter clean, cabin filter, rear diff oil chg, rotate, JBA UCA lube.
Oh what a feeling to do ur own, no dealer bs or ridiculous costs.

Finally got aux wiring finished with help (meaning I kinda helped a little but mostly stayed out of the way) from @Shveet

And inspired by @ClassyTacos without the Pelican budget, I put a small case on the fuse box lid because I can. If it looks crooked, it is!

 

I really only run mine on the trails, and most of the time it’s strobing along with my chase light.

Not really sure why people throw fits over a small lighting mod like Raptor lights anyway. It’s a cheap and simple mod that lots of folks seem to like, so they do it. Hell, it’s likely the first mod that a younger owner may have done on any vehicle.

 

Pulled a motor out of a wrecked truck to put into my truck. Got it pulled from start to finish in just under 2 hours with 3 of us guys total, not bad.

New rear bumper. Not crazy about the logo at first, but don't mind it much after install. Fits great, ads a little clearance

 

Added a small 2500LB Winch to save my back when loading mowers, golf carts, jon boats and kayaks onto my trailer....

 

Interesting, never heard about that bypass leaking until now just looking it up haha. Is it certain years that leak or at a higher mileage?
