Ha! Never heard of child-proof seat belt covers. As you can see in the photo above, the actual seat belt latch is tucked into the seat with the tether coming through the cover so they can't get at 'em. ;)

The sumo springs were a quick install, I had to shorten the front threads to get them in place, with the wheels at full droop. Not much difference in the empty ride, but it is smoother with a load, and less squatting.

I looked at those door skins, but they didn’t make the cut in my application as I found the door handle, and door cubby to be catch all’s for dirt, drool, and hair. The quick removable quilted panels simply slide into the window channel and when combined with the American Made 600 denier hammock fully encapsulate the rear seating area.
My dogs also tend to pull their leads when riding, and each are on a fixed length leash, so having it use the seat belt anchor point is in my best interest, particularly in the event of a hard stop.

I have found the Avalon King Products stood up against any do-it-yourself products on the market especially for the price.

I keep mine tucked in too, with the dog seat belt poking through. And the velcro sealed up tight. Don't really want to be figuring out how to get dog puke out of a seat belt. But now that I think about it, she has never gotten sick since I got my full protector. Maybe it's like a cocoon for her, or being able to lay down completely helps? Or maybe I drive smoother than my wife :)

You can't be forced...but could be coerced if you need/want the truck. Now I'm glad I don't live in the Southeast with a distributor that adds all that.
The XY900 is interesting...you get 3 oil changes, 6 tire rotations, and roadside assistance from Toyota anyway.

It's just a markup that provides some value; we've had that conversation before. I think it's bad for the brand when dealers or distributors go over the top. Give me a decent product at a fair price and I'm happy to let them make money. But that excess makes me grumpy.
A bit off topic, but now even windshields are being priced like college tuition and healthcare. We took the RAV4 in for a new windshield and the "price" is $1240, reduced to $600 with insurance (we paid the deductible; not all that). I wonder what a windshield + recalibration is if I walk in off the street and try to negotiate. My Tacoma needs one too but I'm waiting; all the cracks are on the pax side and winter is coming so it's not worth it.

I had the OEM tailgate actuator and wiring installed today. All I can say is wow, not sure why this wasn't done from the factory, but being able to lock the tailgate with the truck is AWESOME!

I had Raptor lights installed that can be set to any color I want them from Roxmad. I also had the Trail Grid Pro anytime front/rear camera installed but the harness was bad. If the wiring harness moved, the front camera pic went out. Something to do with the yellow RCA's. So I'm waiting on Trail Grid Pro to reply to email.

Now the truck is at another shop for the phantom factory alarm issue.

We have two pitbulls and I bought these https://www.canvasback.com/toyota-tacoma-door-covers.html several months ago. They have been great for keeping paws and drool off the doors.
