Hmmmmmmm.. I guess I'm gonna have to take a peek at mine here when I get these new tires mounted. I was hoping to get about 70-80k out of my pads since I'm light on the brakes. The stock pads seem to be really good... they last a long time and don't produce a ton of dust. I guess I'll be getting OEM pads when it's time.

Anyone find a head unit that will allow the use of the stock microphone? As well as all steering wheel items and whatever else is involve with the unit that comes with the truck. Alpine is close but cannot use the mic. that comes with the truck.

Are you concerned about installing another mic? I have the Alpine in route.

I picked up the OEM pads recently, no chamfer. I'm thinking chamfer or no chamfer each set will be effective. :notsure:

@WickedAx was making an adapter that allowed you to use the stock mic with an aftermarket head unit. However, he was last seen in August and hasn't really posted anything since 2022. I recommend buying the Enfig MIC-TOY1 and installing it in the overhead center console. Just remove the overhead console, install the mic, route the cable along the headliner and down the drivers side a-pillar, then through the dash to the radio. A lot of people who have done this mod say that the Enfig mic outperforms the factory mic. Just remember to get a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter if you're using a Pioneer head unit.

    Nope, wrong reference.
But when you post a picture with visible street signs and your city/state on your profile then it doesn't take much. And since Paris, Lindsay, and Britney weren't really in that car no one's gonna stalk them in your town.

The intent was really just a friendly, "hey, I know that place". Didn't mean to upset anyone.

Replaced the TRD OR wheels with Vision Overlands, 16x8. Kept the AT3 4Ss. Replaced the OEM battery with a Duralast Platinum AGM. I got concerned when it cranked a shade sluggish yesterday morning. I was happy with 5+ years of the original but with winter coming.....

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
Generally, the more surface area the more effective the brakes. More area to grip, more area to dissipate heat etc. As you can notice performance brakes are always bigger for this reason. Just seemed interesting that they would chamfer those pads the result is the loss of 10 to 15% of the contact surface area. Not that we're driving high performance trucks I just thought it was notable.

I had previously switched out my SR grille for a TRD one acquired through this awesome forum.
