Not really replacing them for output, mainly want the same hue of "white" lights around the exterior and interior of the truck. With the reverse leds and hitch pod, along with the OEM leds out front, the license plate lights stick out like a sore thumb. Not really worried about the reverse camera being washed out, if it is, I'll address it then. Can't be any worse than my wife's 18' Corolla reverse camera, the Tacoma is a night and day difference. We'll see when I put them in :notsure:

Well I am glad I'm not the only one, I was worried the light had some dead LEDs... I will just roll with it.

Currently I haven't had any issues with the reverse camera, on the 22' the headunit doesn't seem to be as sensitive to lights but I will see what happens when we get them installed. I will take a look at VLED, I had been eyeing the footwell lighting, just lower on the priority list  I appreciate the input and confirmation on the hitch pod!

Comfortable. The knee pads are awesome. These things really matter on a run from Toronto to Miami.(and back).

For me, I got this because my truck was nailed in the license plate by a telephone pole. The crash bar and "chin" were destroyed. My local autobody would not have bay space to fix it for 5 months, and the insurance company cut me a check. This bumper was 60% of the check and I already had the crap removed. I was surprised that there were so few install videos or posts about this as it was relatively simple and very clean looking.

No TSS on mine, 17 sport, so less electronics, I would imagine that the bar would be in the way though.

I'm willing to bet it never got sized properly. I had to grind mine down for it to work.

It's a relatively easy job maybe took a half hour. Freeze the bushing overnight and it'll make your life easier. And if you havnt get a new seal aswell.

I know it says "What have you done to your 3rd Gen today" but I'm being impatient. My bed stiffeners will arrive by tomorrow, and installed on Thursday. The truck cap shop called and said my Cap arrived and made an appointment for Friday A.M.

    Just gettin’ started
A couple of creature comfort additions. I decided on restoring the things that I see or touch the most while driving. The instrument cluster lens which looked like it was cleaned regularly with 80 grit sandpaper, and the steering wheel. This was a former fleet rental so old wheel had to go.

    New oem steering wheel

    IMG_6092.jpg IMG_6093.jpg

New instrument cluster lens (added Screen ProTech since I was replacing it).

    IMG_6090.jpg IMG_6092.jpg

Added protective film to shift indicator (also massively scratched up)

    IMG_6088.jpg

    Old instrument cluster lens

    IMG_6091.jpg

Pretty straightforward installs. Anyway, makes it seem newish.

    Edit:

This arrived and decided to slap it on and get it in under the ‘today’ wire. Of course the bolt was seized and despite using liquid wrench, wouldn’t budge. Had to drill it out and drop in a new bolt (with anti-seize). I’d pay a few bucks more from the factory if they used anti-seize ffs.

Took these Rough Country Leveling Struts on a barter deal and decided not to install them. I will be selling them.
