What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Nextbase 662gw. Was a gift I didn't particularly put any research into it. Install was relatively easy even if I half assed it.

 

I didn't install it myself. Had a local shop that does these things do it. I had to go work right after it was completed. Hoping to crawl under the truck tomorrow and see what they did.

 

I have the 522. The way you wan remove the camera from the base that is glued to the windshield without the cable coming along with, makes it easy to clear the windshield for using the sun-reflector (I live in AZ ... most days are sunny). Reliable too, as long as the card the use for recording handles 90 Mb/s or more.

 

Thanks for the reply. I posted a thread and was able to get help on it. Someone Suggested to flip the bolt that was interfering with the line and bend the line a little to clear. that did the trick

I don't have bed stiffeners, probably never will. But, if I did, they would be these from 4WheelParts.

They mount inside the side-post, as apposed to all of the other ones (that I know about) which mount inside the bed.

They add 20 HP.

 

And they elicit strong opinions.

Since I used white lights instead of amber, mine are actually grill lights and therefore exempt from criticism (but they only add 15 HP).

Got off work super late so didnt do much, but painted the links for the rear 3 link. Probably start on that this weekend

Started small with my mod of the week. If I ever get a weekend without rain I will sand and repaint side steps.

 

I removed my Auto Dimming w/ Compass rearview mirror and installed a Frameless Auto dimming w/ compass and Homelink rearview mirror since i didn't have homelink in my truck.

Its plug and play. Takes like 5 mins or less to install. Worth it.

 

I've been searching on here to find some feedback on those Nokian winter tires, how did you like them last winter? I'm high up in the CO mountains so probably not as much icy conditions as you experience up in BC... and did you mount those on stock steel 16" spare wheels? I have two of those already and would need to find 2 more if I went that route. Thanks!

Nothing other than a coat of bedliner spray for a new bumper. Waiting for some hardware and then a swap out in near future.
