Love the adaptive cruise control. Cuts down on so much freeway stress. Won't buy another vehicle (daily driver anyway) without it!

For me, it becomes annoying if traffic volume grows. The truck can slow down gradually until it is going 15 MPH slower just because of the vehicle in front that you think you do not have to worry about.

Also I cannot count the number of times a jokewit basically parked 10 ft behind mine and never seems to notice that they need to change lanes and go around because they are texting and relying on the adaptive CC to do the work they need to do.

Too many "we will do it better for you ... you can stop paying attention now" gadgets sometimes.

I also do not use lane departure because if things are that bad I need to stop driving at least until I get some rest.

The moment I get into traffic I just turn it off and take over. But on the long empty highway with 3+ hours to go, it’s been a leg saver.

Agreed on lane departure. It just gets annoying.

I toggled the adaptive CC down to the second setting. Allows enough space ahead but not too much. Plenty of half-wits out there no matter what. If traffic's bad there's no need for it and the accelerator and brakes work fine when CC is on so for long-ish trips it's great, for us anyway.

I stopped worrying about whatever's behind me years ago. Haven't been rear-ended in more than 20 years. FWIW I've found that, weather permitting, having the rear window open seems to make folks behave a little better back there. Might be my imagination though.

Yea that’s the rub for me. That constant pedaling or even holding the pedal down gets into my plantar fasciitis and sciatica. The accelerator/brake pedal back and forth can really wear my back out. I’ll say this. My recent tune brought all the work up to the top of the pedal and I use maybe 20% of the pedal now. That in itself is a huge deal to me.

I always had an issue with my right ankle - the position you have you foot on accelerator or in a stirrup when horseback riding makes it go stiff after about an hour. On a horse I have to drop a stirrup and stretch it, in my truck I just set it on cruise. Breaks every 2 hours to walk around also make long distance driving more enjoyable.

The problem with adaptive CC is when you drive a car without it and set your CC, you end up getting to close to the car ahead..

Ha ha I just finished installing the volume fix button. The volume now is better for me but I still find the channel change buttons to be wrong.

Went out into the garage to tell my Taco she was getting a new K&N cold air intake installed tomorrow. She just winked at me :D
Then I went back in the house when she wasn’t looking and watched as many install videos on YouTube I could find

Upgraded stock front bump stops to Sumo Springs. I wasn't sure if I was going to fee a difference but the ride is much smoother. Saving to get a set for the rear.

You can get the dealer to disable the chime. They won’t want to but it’s in the manual so they are sol if you pressure them. A little pricy tho, $60 for a half hour of programming labor
