I just made a similar switch, from an '02 TRD access cab 5spd, to a '23 trdor double cab short bed auto. Tough getting used to this auto. Definitely worthy of the complaints I heard, but all in all, a better truck for now.

After having ALL MTs on every vehicle I've owned since having my 2003 Pilot, including the JKRU I traded my current Taco for, I can say off-road wise It's a nice change.

I do love MTs, but after 7 EJSs on the rocks with them I've found MTs are not idea for Rick crawling.
Now that the Tacos auto is set up, it's been a bit of a welcome change.

I have the AVS matte black rain visors. The wind noise isn't bad in my opinion.

Has any one installed this rear bumper? Screenshot_20231120_094217_Chrome.jpg
Curious to the difficulty of installation for one person and if you like it or not.
Seems to be a really good Black Friday deal in it right now.

I just saw this this morning too! I'm tempted to get an OE exhaust system. I want to get rid of the Borla S and I sold my stock.:violent:

How stupid is this idea? Be honest.

I'm thinking about installing a hinged license plate holder to front/top of my faux TRD skid plate. When driving at highway speeds it should flip back but fall down when going slow or stopped (like when pulled over by the police). I'm going to scope it out when I get out of work but on the surface (without looking at it) it seems like a decent idea for those of us in states that require a front plate but don't want to drill into the bumper.

There is less wind noise after installing them + adding weather stripping between the doors, at least on my truck.

Small QoL change, but I got tired of being blinded by the reflection on sunny days. Ordered it from Tacoma Lifestyle.

Part Number: 90915-YZZD1 But that’s for a 2.7l not a 6cylinder……and different dealers may cost different amounts. Maybe even less.

Saw others remarking about the plate. My turn:

    "Laughing at the Devil"

To say the number five in Lao or Thai, it is pronounced as "Ha".
Thus, your plate is saying "HaHaHa" to 666 = laughing at the devil! Gotta be brave to do that.

(I think that is a cool plate to run with.)

I did the one on my bride's truck. Accomplished it through the rear window, standing in the bed. Piece of cake!
Dropped the rear portion of the headliner (two clips, just pulled down firmly) from the inside of cab. After that it was all outside.
Reached thru window between headliner and roof. Don't drop your tools or you may have to drop full headliner!
Scrapped knuckles, but that's SOP. Took 15 minutes max.

Co-worker had that one on a 17, install wasn't bad but he had a time getting it to sit right with even spacing under the tail lights. Looks great in person though.
