They don't. That's why I got them in red, they are also up all the way right now too. I work nights so I do a lot of night driving (especially this time of the year) and have had zero issues. I also have the Meso customs dual color dome and map lights that are fantastic as well.

Seem pretty good as a step if you want to reach up onto the roof. As far as a step into the cab, they sit up high but it’s working out well for my wife and son so far.

That's a great way to honor them! Losing a pet is one of the hardest things to go through. Riley has been thru so much with me; divorce, couple crazy ass girlfriends, financial troubles, etc and now cancer, she's family and I love her so much! When her day comes, it's going to tear me up bad.

Dongar is here. No more dash cam wire running up the A pillar and behind the Sun visor.

I also am putting together a factory no cut jump harness to add my Alpine power pack amp. Repurposing a popular "add an amp" harness and as suspected It's perfect. They already tapped the #15 wire for acc power. I just tap #1 for the ground and wire up.

I saw these Meso Custom switch-back lights (red or white) on a buddy's truck and loved them. The red is especially easier on my eyes at night. I had all white LEDs, but it was getting to be a bit too bright to have all the time. They were sold out nearly everywhere, but I found them on Runnin 4 Tacos. I got the map and dome lights. Ordered them last Thursday and they arrived yesterday morning.

I took the truck in to get an alignment after doing the needle bearings, shock rebuild and 3/4 leveling spacers. Only to find out that I have play in the Total Fab uniballs and my steering pinion bushings are shot!

AWE Exhaust, KARTBOY exhaust hangers, custom 1/0 exhaust grounding, lots of Titanium hardware from my old builds, silly JDM bits from my old Subaru builds, Uniden Bearcat Off Road CB, Firestik 2 w/custom CF mount, custom KARTBOY plate frame with Rigid Ind Spot on ball head mount, Yakima Mega Warrior w/custom CF cross brace. ARP extended studs (not installed yet), Optima Red Top, Siless Insulation in cab. Diode Dynamics LEDs throughout... More titanium fasteners. K&N intake snorkus delete. Greddy hose clamps throughout. DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. More to come of course.
Installed my Chinesium Skid Plate with upgraded JIS and Ti hardware. Painted to match the truck for easy touch up. I side by side compared this to a TRD and all I can figure is these Amazon ones are made in the same sweat shop as the TRD ones. The thickness was the same. The welds even looked like the same 8 year old welded them. The only thing was the quality of the bends was off. So, maybe, Toyota only takes the perfect ones and Amazon gets the rest? I don't care. Some grinder action and sanding and prep and she's ready to party.

This upgraded JIS and Ti hardware you speak of. Can you share details? I'd like to go that route for mine. Mine is installed but I'm going to pull it to paint it and want to replace the hardware when I do. I have this sneaky feeling I'm going to twist the head off of at least one of the bolts it's hipped with.

I literally just put my dongar in a few minutes ago. I was surprised how easily the factory clip came off haha.

I went to buy the adapter on their website and on Amazon and both are out of stock.

When I bought mine last week they only “had 2 in stock” so that makes sense unfortunately.

Not the OP, but I used these on my access plate. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BM5LMHVZ?ie=UTF8&th=1 The ones that came with the skid plate rusted pretty quickly.

Thanks for the link. I'll definitely be picking these up too. I'd read from a few people that the originals rusted pretty bad.

I think (I hope) the bolts @grambo911 used were the ones that mount the skid plate to the truck. At least that's what I'm hoping. When I torqued mine on, I was certain I was going to snap 'em.
