Question for all of those who have added stuff externally.
All of my adds have been internal or were not obtrusive enough to get in the way of the car wash - except the Ham Antenna, And I just remove that before washing.

Do all of the bars and lights and other things we/you have stuck to your Taco get in the way of the car wash?

Wash it by hand. You won't have those concerns.

    Enough for now
depending on what you have added externally the automatic car wash generally is a no go. I haven’t been through one since adding my snorkel, prior to that I knew a couple brushless ones in my area that were gentle enough my roof rack and ditch lights could survive

Yeah - I pretty much need to keep it Car Wash Slick. I don't have time to run in and get a bag of Peanut M&M's when I'm getting gas. No way I'll have time to hand wash it. And it goes on the trail so it's no princess. The only coin-op wash around here is in Da-Hood.

As far as tacos go, they have smooth curving body panels that makes it a breeze to hand wash. I used to work for a guy years ago who was obsessed with detailing his pickup. Always remembered what he said about car washes having dirty brushes and wheels to never go through them if you want to keep your clear coat from scratching.

My late Christmas present to myself came in last night.
upload_2023-12-28_6-1-58.jpgI’m going to mount these and look into welding some tube steel to them and do a frame mount to make them into real sliders. I thought about building my own from scratch but for the price of these I can mod them into what I want for a third of the cost of sliders. Prolly a retarded approach but what else is new :D

I had a 52" roof light bar, currently have ditch lights, body armor bumper, tonneau cover. Nothing has ever been impacted by the car wash. Those are things I make sure of before installing.

Ha ha . I change my oil every 4-5k miles.
It's easy to do, and somewhat cheap.
I only drive 17 miles to work one way.
If others go longer on an oil change that's fine.

You learned how to use S-mode? You went out when it was 38 degrees?

Sounds like a plan. Which model are those? Some of what they have are 'out of stock'.

    Brand new.

Hand wash it, you wont have to deal with swirls in the paint.
