I did put the word “mods” in quotes. So there’s that.

But, just curious if you think removing and replacing OEM radio knobs with a better product isn’t a “modification,” then what about doing the same with some LT 235/85 mud tires?

Putting mud tires on the radio knobs would be quite a mod indeed...

I'd at least consider a SL tire. I mean, the extra weight won't be of much benefit in that application...

Received the N-Fab light bar (light mounting bar) yesterday and will be installing it to my tacoma this weekend.
I like this because I need to mount lights to the front of the truck and don't want the additional weight and money for a bumper or even half bumper.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION in my TACOMA build page

    Stock. For now.
I agree. You are “moddifying’ an OE knob with an upgrade, therefore it is indeed a “mod”

Mods are irreversible or otherwise permanent alterations to a vehicle's configuration for the purpose of changing its capabilities. Everything else are accessories (coin trays, mats, truck nuts, nipple rings, etc etc.)

so bolt-on sliders, suspension upgrades, wheels and tires are just accessories?

Tires yes but the rest are mods. You can't take sliders and suspension off easily and in my very unprofessional opinion falls under "otherwise permanent". Carry on!

I just consider anything I do to my truck as "customized", rreegardless of if it's a modification or an accessory.

Like this molle panel that mounts across the seat jacks

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
You’re basing your argument on your effort or “lack of” to unscrew bolts? Not holding water but carry on lol.

You're omitting 1 other variable from my definition.
It's also not an argument but carry on!

Finally got some radios to keep in the truck. No more yelling to the spotter. Plus a nice backup to cellphones when we go hiking out in the middle of no where.

Just got laid off yesterday, from a career with a multinational retailer that has had record sales for the past 6 years in a row. … if anyone is aware of openings for Point of Sales Systems Analysts in Retail or Hospitality, I’d gladly accept info!
