What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed a BAMF dual-swing bumper and Dobinson MRRs all the way around. Previously installed Deaver Stage 3 leafs so she rides like a dream and the stance is perfect. I haven't installed the uprights for the bumper yet because I'm still working out what I'm putting on them. I also rebuilt my CV axles and installed high angle CV boots. In the process of rebuilding the boots I broke one of the bearings off the tri-lobe. Does anyone have a STOCK CV axle they are willing to part with or even better a bearing?? TIA!!

 

I beg to differ…any after market speaker is a big difference over the factory crap.

I didn't weigh mine with the options I got, but here is the propaganda. I am really happy with it so far. I'm having custom tank holders built so I can carry 3 SCUBA tanks per side.

How are you liking the dobison? I’m doing my research now on a 2” lift for the taco. That’s high on my list because we have one on my wife’s 4runner. But I’m looking into peak and locked? Anyone have opinions on those?

 

You are not wrong. My point was that sound dampening definitely is bigger improvement than just aftermarket speakers with no dampening or amplification…

 

VersaTrax tie downs
This is a slick system derived from the aviation industry. This is one of those, “now why didn’t I think of this” products. I’ve used this type of tie down system for many years.

Having only had it on for a day, I am very happy with it. It handles the weight of my doomsday truck very well and isn't jarring when you hit a bump like the stock shocks were.

 

Which Kickers?
Been thinking about swapping out the door speakers or just go straight into a sub.

 

My point was after market speakers would be an improvement period, regardless of dampening or amplification. I’m sure the dampening does improve the sound quality, even with the factory setup/speakers.

 

Smart move my passenger side shifted out a good 1/4" was really notable when I went to put my stiffeners on prepping for the tent install.

 

Not surprised that they took something that is a healthy snack and turned it into crap. Sounds gross. Hopefully you don’t get the squirts like the usual post Taco Bell dining experience.

 

Slobbering atm they’re about to relace the 8100 smooth bodies which have been my weak link since installing hammer hangers.. Thanks @memario1214 and hotshot offroad! Ordered Friday. Here Monday!

Don’t get me wrong I was very happy with the 8100 smooth bodies on road. Most plush ride I’ve ever had but they didn’t extend much off road and caused me to lose lots of needed traction and not able to get the gains of my hammer hangers

 

Upgraded the grill, mirror signals, and installed the new Joying headunit this weekend. Pretty good improvement to the sound on the stock speakers, but still planning to swap kickers in the front and add a 10" sub.
