What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Sanded the paint off my skid plate, raw aluminum. Can wait to see if it gets oxidized or changes color.

 

Out with the old and in with the new.

Finally got rid of the hockey puck oem front bump stops and replaced them with PerryParts v2.
Definitely can feel a difference when you hit a pot hole.

 

What does a set of those go for if you don't mind me asking?

Just beware of the mounting hardware..dissimilar metals, especially aluminum can become seized with other metals pretty quick

 

Yep! Took less than 5 min. Plug and go.

Rustoleum sells clear coat in a spray can.

I have RCI raw aluminum skid that is around 7 years old, before they redesigned it to have the bump out for the diff, and besides a few scratches it still looks great.

 

I got an Olight for work. 1800 lumins. There is a recall on that model due to it being a fire hazard. It accidently turned on one time while in its case. I started to smell smoke and I started to look around for the source. Out of the corner of my eye I see smoke and realize it's coming from the case.
Still use the light. Damn bright for it's size.

 

not pictured is me having to wash my hands with Dawn dish soap after running the wire for this 12v socket and usb hub because I got my fluid film all over my hands. But, I finished this up this afternoon. It's wired to my Auxbeam which has a custom 3 way switch that allows for either key on power or anytime power. So I can opt to use this while the truck is running or while parked and it uses the truck battery. Should be perfect for a fridge and charging phones, etc. Should've come with one of these from the factory in the bed.

 

Made the jump to 285/75/16

Just make sure to alcohol wipe the surface really well. The adhesive is strong. I applied right over top of it. Came out great!
