What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Those 300 straight 6's were indestructible and torquey af. Those yrs of f150's are what we always used on the farm growing up. Great trucks. We eventually moved to late 90's f250's with the 7.3 turbo diesel. Oh, man!!! Those are a lifetime truck if you're a diesel guy.

You can still find those 80's f150's in good shape. U just have to go to Texas. Sigh... I live in part of the rust belt.

 

Yeah they were indestructible and the torque just insane. After 13 years of bush trips, I sold it to a guy who was going to use it for logging operations in the mountains around Squamish BC. In other words he was going to beat on it daily in deep mud, snow and horrible trashed logging cut roads.

 

@ppat4 that sounds about right. We always jokingly called the 300 a stump puller. And yes, have done that many times with one.

I personally was always partial to the 302. Might b my favorite engine of all time. Quick revving v8.

 

Joying headset last night, a little tricky for me to get the back up camera to work but thanks to help from fellow TW members got it to work. Already had the Subaru tweeters, kicker front and rear door and a small sub. I have to say what a massive upgrade in sound quality and raw power. Stock I'd usually roll around with volume at 50ish and this I don't want to go above 20.

 

I decided to get this for my Taco and Subaru. It works great! Takes a little time to start but I haven't had any major problem with it. One time I couldn't connect to it and had to restart my car.

I have the same one for about 6 months now. It loses connection in one spot in my area every single time I drive that route but it's got to be interference. It has been very reliable everywhere else and connects really quickly. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Great upgrade from wired carplay/AA.
