What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Any enthusiast knows the curse. I knew it. I ignored it. I paid for it. Totally worth it.

 

I really want one but, Mama aint feelin' it. I love it!

 

Would've never been my first choice but they came with the TSS package. For an all terrain, they are kind of loud. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about them. Almost 10k miles and barely any signs of wear and no weird cupping or feathering.

Have done great in the rain and the mild trails I have gone on so far.

 

Used a hose to change color from pollen yellow back to army green

 

I actually have a molle panel up front for fuel and water. I was not a fan of the side mount molle panels and, since i already had the Rago parts, I chose to go that route. They are SOLID. And pricy...

 

Finally got a metal bumper for the Tacoma. Installed took around 5-6 hrs total. Gonna add a winch later on.

Totally understand. I’ve had their products for many years so i can attests to the quality and it’s made in house. But i get that they are a bit on the pricier size compared to some online ones.

 

I have the same quick release mount but installed it on my tailgate. Used a .250” aluminum bar stock for reinforcing behind the panel…

 

It would be more cost efficient to just do spacers and blocks if it’s just for looks and not off-roading. Just my .02

I’d go with Total Chaos UCAs or Camburg. The JBAs have ball joints, same as the factory setup. TC or Camburg have uniball construction which will last a lot longer and can still be run without failure even when worn out…try that with a ball joint. Just sayin.

 

Agree, but a zerk fitting and not having to unbolt the uca for maintenance would be ideal for OP's application. TC bushings are known to squeak, but JBA bushings will fit them.

 

You got part of a metal bumper… but it looks good. The big plus is two recovery points for shackles and you can add a winch.

 

Maybe he's got one of these in his garage like I do for full send shits!

Agree, a little PB blaster gets rid of the squeak. But for the OPs application it probably works fine.

 

Your Taco is way too shiny, almost looks like you applied some dressing to the treads ….just threw up in my mouth a little…
