Went to my local YMCA and came out seeing this beautiful white tacoma parked next to me, trd pro wheels and 265/70r17 Falken AT3W SL tires.

Being recently converted from a Tundra to tacoma, I'd say the tundra gets 14mpg on a good day on highway and tacoma gets 15.5mpg on a bad day all city driving. I do miss my Tundra's 38 gallon gas tank tho.

Yeah, its a drag, but life goes on and I am fortunate to have found another AC tacoma.

On another note, I have to say the paint on the 2023 sucks. Easily damaged by bird crap and what not. I really wish the manufacturers could go back to the better quality paints...

I would agree, after installing the Rav4 mirrors, I can't say that I am a huge fan of them so far. The mirror seems more flat and the angle of "blind spot" mirror is not where I would want it positioned personally. I wish I would have done more research.

I too had a Tundra which I really liked….but MPG, smaller for tight places, and current technology, smaller footprint in our garage nudged me to make the switch. (I realize I could have got current technology with a new Tundra)

100%. I switched from a 2020 Tundra with apple car play (45k miles) to a 2021 Tacoma (27k miles). To me their tech level are about the same, and its mainly just the size difference. I used to need a lot of 2nd row space when my son needs a rear facing car seat, and now I don't. especially since I hurt my back and the Tundra (modified with suspension lift and 37in tires) just seemed to be out of my league for my changed health condition. I also like how the Tacoma's smaller size force me to organize and prioritize better in terms of what to bring and what not to bring.

What skid did you go with? Lostar or Kuafu?

From what I can tell, around here folks have less trouble with the Lostar

I have some spotters, It took a minute to get used to the mirrors for me. The position of the wide angle is nice. Proper aiming is a must.
I think one advantage of the rav4 mirror is the wide angle lens is heated.

Very nice setup but looks like you need a more robust suspension setup.
Are you sitting on the rear bumpstops?

Also the wires running up to your roof rack most people tuck them into the windshield trim, depending on how thick they are.

Hi all. Where could I buy one of the removable rear headrest for our tacos? My nephews decided to play with them, and I lost the rear passenger and middle headrests (no recovery possible). Kids!! Sometimes you love them too much to murder them. Any suggestions where I could buy/get atleast the rear passenger side one a cheaper way?

I checked Toyota prices and they are wayy too expensive to buy from dealership. $579.82 for one. For both $1132.95

lots of wires in it, and almost on bumps. I plan to change suspension when I get back since not everything was going to be in in time.

I have a middle one laying around in my garage, DM me and I'm sure we can figure out something for that one at least. Never used it and never will. Those prices are crazy.

Any idea on what you plan on doing? or are you waiting to dive down that rabbit hole?

For my roof lights, a front light bar and side flood lights, I split my wires. Running 1 set on each side of the windshield.
I've seen people with wires that are too thick that silicone them to the gap in the windshield trim.
Or you could use these, I used them on my roof rack itself to keep the wires tucked away.

I only mention it because you will eventually get paint damage from the loom rubbing.

i usually just have the tire shop mount the best looking tire they're replacing as the spare and hope for the best.
i've only bought 5 tires once that way.

I tried it out for one night and then swapped to my Exped, ha. It was not good. I still can't believe the cost of these tents and the mattress's are always the worst part.
