I like the white letters out as it gives some contrast to your rims. Black tires and black rims tend to become a solid
mass which is hard to see in a photo.

 

it matched well with the color of the truck and i like how it stands out. if i had any other color truck id probably go black although mgm might look good.

 

I thought electricians were supposed to use fiberglass ladders?

Update 8-11-16 , After letting the liquid nails dry for 2 days , I went for a ride and my hood is finally stable and no longer vibrates / flexes over bumps etc. Finally ! I did not want a new hood because the paint never quite matches , that is why I did not press it with the dealer .

 

Liquid Nails is good stuff.

The dealership fix a little of the hood flex but there is still a noticeable amount. I was thinking about using a clear silicone to try and accomplish exactly what you did here.

 

Just curious why you decided on the E load 275s over the C load 265s.

 

I am sure there are many products that will work. I think something that dries flexible , but not too flexible so that the hood skin still bounces .
The dealer sent me to a body shop . The body shop did a fix. I drove around the block and went back to the body shop because it was still flexing ,and they added more . It still was not right . This was why I did it myself. I have used liquid nails on tiles , and bricks and sheet metal before and it has been through all outdoor seasons from 110 degrees F to below 0 F . It has not failed yet . I had an extra tube so i used it .
I should also note that the gaps from the hood skin to the support frame were anywhere from 1/8" to 1/4" at the areas where I had problems . This was seriously a crappy build . But all in all it was not going to leave me stranded anywhere .

 

I haven't bought the tires yet....not too familiar with the ratings..my brother works for Costco tire dept and I just want a bigger tire than stock 265.

 

Removed the hard OEM mud flaps that the dealer added onto my TRD OR, and replaced them with the more flexible RokBlokz mud flaps so they don't get ripped off by a rock when I off road. Why they include such hard mud flaps on the Off Road version is baffling to me. Anyway...here are a couple pics....install was smooth and coverage looks good. Well see how long they last once they start getting bent back on the trails I want to do.

 

You do know there is 11 pounds difference between the 265C and the 275E. That is a lot of extra weight for 10 mm of extra width. If you off road a lot it doesn't matter. For mostly street use I watch the tire weights. I just wish they made a BFG Radial TA, something between KO2 and Long Trail for street drivers, with the same style letters as the KO2. For my money nobody makes a better looking white letter tire so let it show. I have my white letters in on my truck because the UNIROYAL LAREDO white letters look weak compared to BFG. But alas I am old and somewhat feeble. Actually I am extremely feeble.

 

I dont have the MGM but white out always looks good!

Do your research to see if E loads is what you want. You're adding 20#'s extra per tire (over stock). Your MPG/Acceleration/Braking will be decreased by quite a bit.
