Just crossed 40k on my '22. Was noticing what felt like a little torque converter shudder at around 50-55 MPH. Warning, this is going to sound like an old school math word problem... Drained the ATF, got just under 2 quarts out. Filled with 4 quarts, and checked once temp was around 100 (with XTool Scan Tool). Drained 1 quart out. If my math is correct, I was short 1 quart from the factory. More importantly, the small shudder is gone. If anyone else is having a similar issue, check your fluid level.

Yesterday and today, I finally transplanted my switch panel into the replacement taco, installed fog lights, hood lights, bed lights, and ooga horn. I don't have the switch for the bed lights yet, but I will order it some time this week. I also installed a 3D printed dash panel for the switch controller. It's white because that's the only colour of PETG I have. This week we have a great wave coming through, and I want to test how this thing is going to handle the heat. I think at some point it'll start to deform, but then I can just replace it with another printed copy, I guess. We'll see.IMG_20240615_185239.jpg

Where'd you get the 3d file from? I think I'm going to try this.

I found it on Reddit, but the file is everywhere.

That looks good if I had access to a printer I would give it a shot. Could you just paint it black? My truck is white I would be tempted to just leave it white.

I could paint it, but I like how it looks in white. Besides, I think it will reflect light and not absorb it as heat as much as a black one would, giving it a longer lifespan in the hot car.

It was perfect! Except the top right button slot falls on a piece of metal behind the panel, so it's useless. I can't even fit the blank in there all the way. I'm going to print a shorter blank cap for it, maybe with a Toyota logo, or the taco little truck logo on it.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
How did you get the four quarts IN? Doesn't the fluid just run out? or is there both fill and level plugs? ZF transmissions fill at the level plug.

eta, this is just a dumb MT 6 guy asking.....;-)

I blame the criminally manipulative elements of this forum for the purchase (and maybe the $300 instead of $400 price) ...

I've been working on replacing the steel brake lines on my 80series Landcruiser before I list it for sale and rolled my 285/75r16 up to the TRD. Not sure what the offset is but I like them way more than the stock sport wheels.

If I put them on, it would trigger the tpms light. Would it automatically go out once the stock (23 sport wheels) go back on or would it need to be programmed?

I just pumped it in the fill hole until it dripped out of the overflow plug. From what I've read, these transmissions hold around 10 quarts.

Holy momma those wheels are ginormous!
You’ll need to reprogram the ECU with new wheels’ tpms sensors.
If you put the stock wheels back on, it should recognize the old sensors…

They're 33s. They look factory on my Landcruiser.

Good to know! Doubt I'll actually run them but I dig the "old school" wheel on the truck

Should go out, the tpms are in the wheels themselves, only need to be reprogrammed when you swap wheels with new sensors

    Regarding TPMS

IF a net set of wheel senders are programed into the controller, the old set are written over. The controller only allows four signals.

So if you swap and program, a return to the originals will also require a reprogram.

IF the replacements are NOT programmed in, and the warning light is just lived with, returning to the original set will just take a "relearning:. just like a tire rotation.
