Factory battery reached the end of its life in my 2017 Tacoma. New Kirkland Signature (Costco) 24F installed (6/24 date sticker). OE was 7 years old and had 78,000kms (~48,000 miles) on it.

I also wonder if certain tire sizes make it look more obvious. I run skinny 255 and as stated it’s very noticeable. I don’t remember noticing it so much when I had 265 on.

Been putting off tire rotation due to other projects (painting house), heat, and generally any other excuse I can think of. Woke up today and said F it, I'm driving up the road to @Discount Tire and letting them do it. Wasn't really sure about the financial arrangement. Didn't buy the tires there (OEM Duratracs) but I did have them swap tires from OEM wheels to my current steelies. Of course they also did a balance at that time. So today they did the balance and rotation. They used the cross-over method and not the front to back Tacoma method, which I was fine with. I was there about 30 mins. Total cost = $10 tip for tech.

I'd loosen all lug nuts and re-torque to spec and also check air pressures. Tire people especially ones that do rotations usually aren't "techs".

Tomorrow makes 1 year that I've had the truck. The only downside is how easy it is to spend money.889E60C6-E07F-4154-AAA3-566796A2B414_1_201_a.jpg B6D69130-AC82-434B-88B3-B5570721767A_1_201_a.jpg A61D9216-EED0-477F-933E-9A6EEAE187CC.jpg FD0A04D5-8BAA-4C84-B746-A6AFC533AC8B_1_201_a.jpg

Checked tire pressure via TPMS. Spot on. Did a walk around and all lug nuts in place. Good to go.

We can be such a bad influence though. VLED taillights, RCI skid plates, TC bed stiffeners, RC seat covers, Donegar cable ... and that is just what this Rogue's Gallery convinced ME to buy. Nadjr is clearly more deeply insa ... er ... "influenced" than I am.

    This and that
Man Vleds got me good. Let’s think.
I have the footwell lights, front and rear with an additional single above the cup holders
The bed lights, with an additional 6, 6” bars facing down from my bed rack.
A 6” red brake light on the rack
    Then
I have some side lights 2 pods and 4 3” bars going on soon here.
And two rear Drl red 3” bars.
Just need some 1/4” loom to fulfill my ocd.

Also have to mention the puddle lights are actually Vleds, and the meso tail lights too. And I have those as well.

Just cause you have lug nuts on all lugs doesn't mean they're torqued correctly. You have to loosen then tighten to proper torque with a torque wrench to be sure. Lots if laborers with air guns over torque them and even cross thread. If you need to remove one and use your spare, good luck getting lugs off with normal hand tools.

I have special vision. I can tell just by looking that all lug nuts are properly torqued.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Between yesterday and today, I did a hand wash, ran a clay bar over the paint, paint correction, hi-gloss buff, and a coat of ceramic wax. The truck hasn't looked this good since I brought her home 114k miles/7 years ago! No pics, didn't even think of it...maybe tomorrow.

You might be ok, it seems to happen more in the 16-18 range. Still worth some research for peace of mind. Google 3rd gen tacoma smoking, or smoking on an incline.
