The skid plate would be a good place to record the date / mileage of the oil change. What appears to be an out of the blue random thought was really where someone posted to put oil change torque values on the skid plates, and I didn’t use the quote function correctly
But I am prone to random out of the blue thoughts anyway

Pulled the winch out of my bumper a couple of weeks ago when I took the bumper off for cleaning and touch up painting.

Tucked in my offroad bumper the winch must have been a real dam to airflow. Truck runs cooler, big difference in transmission temp and possibly better gas mileage. Removing the front skid plate for an oil change would also be a big factor.

See what happens when I put it back on.

Do may NOT want to spend any time looking for Mt. Mitchell, highest point east of the Mississippi. You drive up to a path, then walk the last distance. View is nice enough, but the brick walkways make it too touristy for my taste. But Blue Ridge Parkway is close, if you can handle MAX speed of 40 MPH.

 

I went to Overland Expo East when it was there. Beautiful place. I misheard which way the guy told me to drive to get to the parking area and I drove right through the grounds during some wine event. Oops! Live to go there again sometime and take a tour.

Got the Meso Total Tail Stage 1 hardware installed. ✅

 

60k service, which included a surprise rack and pinion replacement with alignment. In addition to the normal checklist items and a few other maintenance requirements based on time.

Happy to have the cash to care for the vehicle I love, and a good tech doing the work correctly. Sometimes regular maintenance is the best mod.

 

Still does not make "parting with that cash" easy ...

 

Also accurate. I had plans for that. Now plans deferred for another day.
