Wow, great responses on the interior led lights. I’m thinking that I’ll avoid the vanity light replacement cause I’m not interested in looking at my ugly mug in the mirror. But want to replace the map lights and dome light. As far as the tag lights, anything that makes me more visible at night is good but if it interferes with the clarity of the camera then I’m not sure about replacing those lights.

 

Karma buckets must be at a good level for someone to own up to it.

I installed one of these a few weeks ago too. I really enjoy being able to see out of the rear view "mirror" again. I just left the GPS antenna in the head liner. Seems to be working just fine.

And depending on where you mount the camera, you may need the camera wire extension. Mounted mine on top of my RTT. The 33' cable was a perfect fit.

 

I mainly installed the LED vanity lights just for added lighting if needed, they do add more light to the seat, dash, floor or wherever pointed...

I found these camera extensions on Amazon so I can cut one in half and use it for a harness to run through a Deutsch flange connector into the bed.

Nice find. I don't remember if I thought about that or if I just didn't want an extra connection point.

No bed connector for me. I just routed mine along my bed rack and down in between the bed and the cab. Underneath up to a pass thru spot on the passenger side.

 

Got my TVD Vinyl wheel decals this weekend.




I think they look pretty good. Went with the matte black, which give a bit of contrast to the gloss black on the wheel. Hopefully they hold up through the winter. I would love to get some nice FSW 4runner pro wheels in bronze, but I'll hold off on that until next summer at least.

Also, I have always liked the look of raised white letters on tires. I painted the letters on my Mustang's Falken Azenis last summer and it looks really good. Love the huge font for white letters on a sports/race car. On a truck, however, I think a smaller font, like that of BF Goodrich looks better. Never the less, I wanted to see how my tires would look with RWLs, so I painted them with some water based craft paint that is easy to wipe off with a wet-rag.


I think it's a bit too much. Font is too big on a truck tire, so I'll wipe them clean tonight, and won't be doing it in permanent oil-based paint.

 

Been a minute. Fumoto and Spod Controller completed. The fact that the Spod lighting matches the cab display really made my OCD happy. Makes me miss my Defi Gauges in my STI's.

I really don't see any reason to upgrade your license plate light bulbs

 

What kind of tree is in the pot? Lemon?

 

If your talking the factory Halogen headlights install H9 Philips in the low beams

 

If it's anything like the 30" Rigid I installed a couple of weeks ago it will be a huge help. I swear mine is so bright I can see the future.
