Ceramic coating is one thing that can help, but not foolproof.. I am sure the off road clan will have even better advise...

I also hear that wrapping her hands in duct tape helps also...

Changed the oil at 10k miles today and when I emptied the drain pan I found two crush washers at the bottom. Realized that when I went to the dealership for my complimentary oil change several months back, they actually did change the oil but never bothered to remove the old crush washer. Will be performing my own oil changes from now on. Plus they torqued everything down so tight, I thought I was going to break something when unscrewing it. Quality and diligent service is hard to find nowadays.

Buy some paint protection film and put it in the area your wife would generally scratch the paint. There is really no other alternative. I’ve come to terms with finding scratches or makeup residue on the passenger side of the interior lol…I’d rather just clean it than get an ear full for complaining about it haha

Maybe something like this? I know we used to use things like this to prevent pin striping on the trails.

Get clear (or mostly clear) film, covering the area around the handle. It will probably be noticeable by nit-picking twits, but it is a truck that will pinstripe while offroad or at least from gravel on forest roads going to campsites.

I'm 80 years old. Just didn't know they were set up this way. I put in too many decades without trip odometers. Thanks!

Or just use sticky notes on the dashboard to record where trips begin and compare to the main odometer.

Hope you have many more happy and heathy days to come...

Shoot, don't feel bad, I have had many customers of all ages that never new thy had trip meter(s)...

I always suggested for all my customers to use one for gas mileage (reset every fill up) and the other for oil changes (reset every oil change), that way at a glance you know how many miles on this tank of gas and how many miles on the oil...

TIP: Locate the button on your instrument cluster that controls the odometer and trip information, then press and hold that button until the trip meter reading resets to zero; most likely, you’ll need to cycle through the display options to reach the trip meter you want to reset, using the same button to navigate with...

I use the reminder options available in my centre stack.
I've learned how to use all the options in it.
And I'm an old geezer too.

Ripped out my Eibach stage 2 suspension in the front and went on a bit of a journey to figure out best settings/springs for my new 6112s. Driver side eibach coilover was topping out aggressively and clunking on compression. Also the spring was moving around and popping at low speed turning? Idk it was really irritating me. Ended up with clip 8/6 to get me at the same height with Eibach 650lb coil springs. I tried the supplied 600lb springs and they were much too soft for my additional front weight.

Eibach coil springs showed up definitely used and scratched up (just my luck lmao) so I figured why not make a custom paint job on the coil springs for some extra flare, paint matched to the truck paint - lunar rock. Found a local paint supply store and had them mix me up a spray can. They're in and riding great! Skip eibach shocks, their springs are fine but man those stage 2 coilovers were so bad compared to these 6112s. Eibach refused to warranty replace and wanted me to send them in for "testing" yeah I'm good, not pulling suspension and shipping it in for them to tell me they're fine, into the trash they went!

Good news is I've gotten my coilover swap time down to 13 minutes with all these swappings!
