Cheap plastic like everywhere else on the truck that toyota uses mine is fading as well and i am above average with keeping the thing clean. Pretty sure you would have to replace the entire mirror, not worth it 2-3 years later it will start looking the same

Yesterday I scored a set of Gen 3 OEM running boards on FB MarketPlace for a wallet friendly $250 and got them mounted up today. Also some other unexciting updates since purchasing my rig last month: Blendmount mirror radar detector mount w/mirror tap harness, OEM mudflaps and last but not least, a Lift'D Customs gas cap holder.

Optimized battery charging is generally when the charger adjusts the input based on how fully charged the battery is. Applying a high charge to a full battery can reduce its longevity; trickle charging the whole time doesn't suit our impatience well. The big paragraph 8 seems like a lot of marketing words for a concept used by most quality electronics.

303 is about the best product to use on the plastics. Apply after a wash when the plastics are free from debris. It is something you have to keep up with but it will prolong the look and integrity for years. One great thing about these trucks is keeping them clean is easy due to their smaller size.

Took my truck and trailer to 4x4 Colorado's Rigs and Tacos event yesterday. A lot of nice rides!

That helps and makes sense that charger shouldn't be charging at full tilt when it is 99.9% fully charged. The frustration is exactly that, the marketing words salad is non explanatory. Too many words salad in my life lately.

Thanks. I got 303, I'll try it on these parts, I thought it was for rubber boots only, thanks for the nudge.

iPhones have "optimized charging" that will raise from 50% to 90% quickly, then take what seems like hours for the last 10%, maybe even stopping at 96% to save the Lithium-Ion charging abuse.

I did a truck thing today, loaded 400# of dirt and some plants. Woohoo! The ride was like a Cadillac with the weight. 20241117_162937.jpg 20241117_162945.jpg

Installed and wired lights from mattgecko. Got the hood and truck canopy lights. For the bed I ran a 10awg wire to a bluesea fuse block behind the driver tail light.

How bad does it stink? How long does the smell last? Been considering it, just don't want it to stink up garage all winter though..

The smell isn’t too bad. It diminishes through about 1 week then you don’t smell it anymore. FF def has an odor, but it’s bearable.

I also did a bit of a similar truck thing today with a trip to Home Depot. But I was picking up landscape timbers and driveway markers to replace the splintered remains of the edge of my yard from the ambitious new snowplow driver. I do understand that the edge of the road can be hard to see under snow...but that's what all the (also splintered) reflective/orange fiberglass poles were for. Sorry, no pictures, was in a hurry to get the wood in place before the ground froze.

I think that disables the turn signal noise too.

Maybe hard water etching? Adam's tire and rubber cleaner works well to clean black plastics.
    https://www.amazon.com/Adams-Tire-R...locphy=9030014&hvtargid=pla-587790222893&th=1

You might try isopropyl alcohol too.
