Nice parts, I got ome springs front and back I like them.

Good choice on the wheels and if they ever chip up the same rattle can will handle that! I think they should come like that color from factory.

    :mudding:

    Cheers

I agree! I’m not a fan of the 2 tone, but I like the style of the wheels. They look even better now that I got them dirty driving in the snow today.

    Added some cat shields today:

    IMG_5066.jpg

    IMG_5067.jpg

    IMG_5069.jpg

Bit of a pain in the ass on installation- The security bolts provided were too short since the fitment of the shields was a touch tight. Had to use the stock longer bolts to get the support tube started since the shields needed to be flexed pretty significantly before I was able to get the security bolts in there. Ended up putting one security bolt and one stock bolt on either end of the tube.

Also installed bed stiffeners/supports (in first picture) but didn’t get a post install picture. Have no real need for them at the moment but I like the idea of adding some reinforcement to the bed for when I add a cap, and having some extra anchor points at the end of the bed. They were also annoying to install but went in relatively smooth.

Made a hinged platform for my buddy Ronin, wanted to keep the 3rd seat easily accessible if needed. Turned out well and he is loving the easier access to sitting on the center console while we drive.

Morimoto XB Evos are in! Love the design of them. I had to do some finagling to get the DRLs to function like OEM by stealing power/signal from the OEM DRL t tap harness I have from FBC but they're functioning with OEM stalk functionality now, so I'm happy with them!

Link to my explanation in the other thread for anyone needing it on the DRL rewiring (only applies to factory DRL trucks): https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...adlights-are-here.848777/page-6#post-30375210

I will say, while I appreciate it, it is just a piece of 3D plastic, so don't expect a whole lot.

Here is the one I have, Tacoma Fuse Block Cover.

After installing that one, I kind of wish I had gotten this one, Tacoma Fuse Block Extender, so that I had somewhere to place my OEM cover, rather than behind the floor mat.

I have a similar one, except it reintroduced chrome to my interior. The only issue is that the rear windows on auto up could guillotine anything that is in their way, so be careful with kids and pets back there.

Ramping up for my upcoming brake job, double checking part numbers, anyone ever use these pads? Any problems? I bought from local dealer parts counter.

If I understand it right, the 04465-04090 ($105.77) is a factory replacement part, what it came with..

The 04465-AZ200 ($66.00) is Toyota's value line, it still meets Toyota's high standards, but they are able to source from different manufactures to bring the cost down... You should be fine...

Remember that Toyota does not make their own pads, but they do have them made to a certain spec from one main source for the OEM pads...

Thats my understanding as well, AZ and YZZ in the part number are the value line. Not sure if you have heard of “The Car Care Nut” on YouTube but he advises against the AZ pads on his latest video (time stamp 15:35) due to noise. I haven’t had to replace mine yet but he puts out a lot of very helpful content and is a Toyota Master Tech so I’m inclined to follow his recommendations since he has so much experience. Good luck either way!

No pics but I can say it's a no brainer to make the switch. Output was noticeably better.

That reminded me that my brother had Toyota do his brakes and they made noise on his 2nd gen, Toyota told him that was normal.. Now I think that was when he 1st had them done and have since quietened down, I have no idea what pads they used...

What would it cost to have something like that done , and can you still use normal drive where it will shift automatically in normal drive?
I hate it won’t stay in the gear I select!

Replaced one decal, gotta do the other one tomorrow or Sunday. Took a while to heat up the old one and get all the adhesive off. To put it kindly, it was rather tedious, but I think it came out great:

Removed these babies so far while wearing a head lamp
3" lift kit with struts and rear shocks. Adding new UCAs as well.
Thank goodness I purchased an impact wrench right before this, game changer.
