Finally completed my "Rock Runner 2.0" bumper. Reworked the side wings and added a bull bar. Side wings were extended and a more standard looking hybrid front bumper fog light pocket was added so the lights could get moved more out and back protected. Couldn't be more happy with how it all turned out, best of both worlds on ultra high clearance, hybrid, and still lightweight.

    Glamour shots first:

Once, on my birthday, I washed my car, and scored a set of thick rubber mats, front and rear, and they fit my old ass Audi perfectly.

Paint just falls off wooden ladders in Nova Scotia, like it wasn’t meant to be there.

I switch between the metal and plastic every time I change the oil, one is prepped and waiting when the other comes off. Lying on the floor with my arm through the skidplate hole I can hand tighten them until they stop turning so I've not had a hard time getting one off. Yet.

I always fell into this trap with sports cars. Not so much with my trucks.

By the time I got done with the body kits, suspension, rims, tires, wings, exhaust, CAI, headlights, tail lights, interior etc., etc., etc. I would step step back and say what's next. I look at pictures of those cars now and think WTF was I thinking.

In most cases less is more. I mean I'm always going to make mods to vehicles, but I've done very little "aesthetic" upgrades. I try to only make useful changes that don't break the bank. Over the years I've learned my lesson that all those "upgrades" really aren't as good as the OEM parts that I already paid for when I bought the truck.

Placed an order with Wesley Chapel Toyota yesterday for my 1st oil change plus some other maintenance stuff, got enough for the free shipping... BTW they doing a site wide 15% off sale for the next few days...

Should have bought the metal filter housing and plug, but had forgotten about it...
