Thanks so much for the kind words! That reminded me I needed to update my profile picture lol. This truck has been such a good time for me, my creativity, and honing my skills. Backlight is the way to go!!! (unbiased opinion obviously)

    Obviously unbiased lol

Yeah I’m torn now because my Diode light bar and fogs aren’t back lit, so part of me wants to upgrade them to backlit versions but that wouldn’t be worth the cost lol

Here’s my current set up…it’s very functional but not as cool looking haha

I’m still trying to decide which bed liner to get. I really like the looks of the Weathertech one. And it has, what looks like about a 2 inch lip around it too. Has anyone gotten one of these or opinions on whether it is good or not. A friend has the OEM type and when you slide something in the mat tends to bunch up on itself like a rug.

Painted my brackets for the bed bar the other day and now that they are dry I installed my bar.

Kinda wish I spent the extra $30 to get a black ano extrusion but then again odds are after a few uses I might want to redesign it, so it's definitely good enough for now.

Added an Undercover/Realtruck one piece tonneau. Was a real pain in the ass to adjust since I think the bedliner made the bed rails stick out (inward) and so the brackets were very snug. Package came with the wrong instructions but I was able to pull them up online.

Once I figured out an effective method for making fine adjustments, I got it set right. I think I want to slide the cover about 1/8 rearward since the flap that rests over the bulkhead is just barely touching the cab.

Looking forward to driving in the rain at the next opportunity to confirm the weatherproofness.

Now… what to do with the Rough Countty trifold cover I took off. So tempted to keep it in case I want or need to use it but I feel like the correct move is to just sell it.

I ceramicked my truck for the first time (I did it Saturday, so maybe it still counts?). I always thought it was gonna be harder to do. I sealed in a few small door edge chingazos but oh well. The Super White paint has held up very well. I only noticed two small spots that weren't great. About the size of a tennis ball, they looked like orange peel. You can only see them close up from the side in the sun's reflection, but the surfaces are as smooth as the rest of the paint. Need to do the follow up coat in a few days, but the pollen here is terrible right now.

I got the Rough Country one and it has not moved when pushing/pulling heavy stuff on it for me yet, and things don't slide around either, I have thrown my sons walker back there while taken him back and forth to appts and the walker has not moved around any either and it doesn't weigh much at all... So far it is working as intended... Hasn't tried to fly out either doing 90 mph... o_O

I’ve always used this bed cover. It won’t leak when driving, sometimes water sneaks in on the corners when you open it. I love it because it’s sturdy enough to stand on when I need to get down storage from the joists in my garage. It’s easy to remove too. I would move it back a hair or trim the foam or it will create a channel. Had it on my 2nd gen too. Adam’s makes a graphine vrt that will aid in sunblock and keep it from fading. don’t forget to shut your light off.

On my previous 2nd Gen I had squirrels chew through the wiring harness to the fuel pump.

I have tried the peppermint sprays that others mentioned. Make sure to use the wiring safe versions, and reapply every so often.

Another thing I've used is rubber snakes I got off Amazon. I'll randomly move them around under the truck and in the wheel wells. I've actually seen squirrels jump from surprise and attack the snakes. You can also get motion sensor ones that move.

    Good luck.
