Finally worked on the exhaust pipe cutting and welding one more time, now it's more aggressive to allow new cross bar for the frame to mount straps for the axle.

Rear is already this style thankfully. Just did my rear 500 break in after gears. Was going to piece together 500 in 4wd on straight aways and then do the front, until I saw it was 10mm allen  I’ll worry about that this winter I guess

Wow. That explains a few things, like why it's harder to do donuts.

I suspect the original purpose may have to do with towing. Normally I wouldn't want this thing (and I feel it) but it might help getting going with a heavy load.

I think this might explain some of the issue I had early on with the clutch suddenly releasing. I think it was slowing down my release, so I released more and then it caught up and grabbed harder than I intended.

    This and that
It just makes your efforts into the same thing no matter what. Makes it easier to drive when the driver is inexperienced with a clutch. Seems like a safety thing. Some inexperienced drivers could lurch/launch the truck into a bus bench or up a curb and into a tree?

The clutch accumulator basically slows down the clutch pressure plate engagement/disengagement and is good for smoothing out jerky starts and shifts for beginner manual transmission drivers, but IMHO it will also increase clutch disc friction time causing premature disc wear and possible long term hot spotting of the flywheel and pressure plate causing heat cracking...
I really think Toyota should have included some kind of electronic accumulator bypass valve for the experienced stick shift drivers...

Got some new shows for the truck. I think I got one hell of a deal. I had to source the rims and tires separately, but I'm happy with the purchase, with a total install of $2200. The pics do not do the rims justice. I think they are sick in person.

Semantics, but that is a bow shackle. Not a D-ring. Just me being a know-it-all. They actually do work differently though.

Do like @roadie . Bow shackles are better at side loading.

I have the two up front. But I know virtually only one bolt holds them in place, nothing welded to the frame. So when pulling stumps I used the tie down that comes with the vehicle. I pulled mostly in reverse. Game of friction when pulling stumps. 8 inch was the biggest one but that smaller 7 inch sumbiotch was a stubborn one.

    Good eye there sir,
Yes the D-shackle is designed for straight line pulling, like at the corner of a trailer box being lifted by a crane etc.. Where as a Bow shackle is designed to take up to a 45* angled load and or multiple straps (V angled)...

    This from Keble's Trading:
Bow shackles are commonly employed in rigging systems where multiple ropes, slings, or chains need to be hooked up. Conversely, D shackles are frequently used in towing operations, industrial lifting, and anywhere a robust, single-direction force is the order of the day.
