They will be short lived because they are getting rattle canned tomorrow, I have a couple scrapes on the frame too that needs painting.

I never really thought about aluminum sliders, but they also won't rust from scrapes. They probably can deform easier, but some lightweight sliders might be what I need, for the very rare boulder on the light 4wd I tend to do.

They are 27lbs each vs 65lbs for steel, they are rated to support the entire weight of the truck, and shouldn't ever rust.
I just want to repaint so more of the powder coat doesn't start flaking off.

The main worry is for if you are sliding all the time on them is getting gouges in the softer aluminum.

So for occasional "oh shit" hits they are perfect, just like aluminum skid plates.

Would you mind showing more of it, like is that an attached shelf or tray below the tonneau cover??

That's a bed extender. I came from a 1gen 6' bed and didn't realize the 3g was so much shorter. But it flips inside the tonneau (and flips out with the tailgate down) and makes a really nice cubby for small things in normal driving.

edit bed extender is here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...3rd-gen-today.399305/page-14703#post-30675363

I think he's talking about that tray/cross member under the center section of the DB. I'm curious too as my DB SE doesn't have that.

Did some interior detailing. Glass, nooks, crannies, compressed air helped get all the spring pollen out. I even carefully cleaned the gauge cluster glass.

Used some black shoe polish to finally address the easily scratched interior door panels.

We'll see how long this fix actually lasts. For now it's much better.

At this point at almost 90k miles I've got minimal wear and tear on the interior.. it looks petty good.

This is really cool. Honestly, this is the first time I've heard of using shoe polish on the door panel. I may try this.

    oh heeeeellllll nah.
get some mothers VLR and a scrub ninja pad and clean the panels with that, 99% of my scratches are gone. literally looks like a new door panel, I've tried a lot of stuff and if you told me this would work better than 303 i'd laugh, yet here we are.
